New York style pizza is just average. Seems to be dry and needs more cheese. Comparatively, Mario's makes better pizza. Would go back if in that area for another reason but wouldn't make a special trip to get here.

Burke St Pizza is... well a bit different for a really good pizza joint. I wasn't expecting order at the counter, paper plate dining kind of place, but the pie was excellent! And the prices are good as well. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite pizza places in WS. The pizza is great, but can sometimes be really greasy. But still good. Its a very cheap place so it makes a great place to eat if you don't want to spend much.

This is a pretty small place, and the prices are really low, but the pizza was so good. I'd never been to Winston-Salem before, and just went to the first restaurant I passed, but I'm so glad I went here. I'd make the thirty-minute drive back to eat here again. It makes for a fun, cheap date night.

This place reminds me of the whole in the pizza shops in New York. Order at the register, seat yourself, listen for the number to be called. The atmosphere is great! The cooks and meal preparation area is seen by most of the tables which gives the feeling of eating the kitchen. The lasagna pizza is killer!!! The prices are... More

I. Love. Pizza. This place is out of the way for me so if I want great pizza this is where I come. There's other places that do good pizza but I just really love Burke Street Pizza. Is the staff a little gruff? Sorta. But I never found them rude. Some of the staff I don't think English is... More

We've been here several times and it's always delicious! You can get a slice of pizza or a whole pizza for a great price! Try the garlic knots. They're wonderful!

I appreciate restaurants that are flexible and have good service to match good food. This place is irritating, and the person at the counter was borderline rude. First of all, I don't care to go through a cafeteria-style line to order my pizza, Asking for a slice rather than a full pizza was a major ordeal. They only had two... More

Growing up in NY I know pizza. This is great pizza reminiscent of the pizza I grew up with. Seriously. The place is a typical pizza place where you order at the register and they call out your number when it's ready. The crust is perfect. The cheese is perfect. The sauce is perfect. Don't let the somewhat dingy atmosphere... More
