I had always heard great things about Nobles but had never eaten there. My first and now my last last visit was a big disappointment. It is now being called Rooster's so maybe there has been a management change. The service was excellent but the food was awful. I might expect such a culinary disaster at a roadside dive but... The re-branding is "Rooster's A Noble Grill." It still mostly looks the same, but there were lots of small changes that made us wish for "Noble's." We stopped by for lunch, and received excellent service from Bree. We had the vegetable plate, which is no longer on the menu, although when we asked we were told it's still available. Succotash,... My husband and I joined another couple at this WS restaurant last evening. Noble's Grill is now being called "Roosters." The service was, as before, outstanding. The new menu was not. The practice of putting two separate pages of daily specials and another of “usual” menu items, the majority of which are ala carte, results in much confusion. It is... More

We did not dine at this restaurant before it was acquired by the Rooster's chain, so cannot comment on the change, but the food was outstanding and service excellent. The menu, as seems to be more and more the case at high-end restaurants was confusing, with many small plates and sides, with a sort of mix and match way of... More

We not order much of expensive items. and the waitress not give us good service. the appetizers came cold. and the waitress seemed to want to wait on people who ordered expensive food. we had to ask the waitress come back and finish the job. the food size portions were below average. and got beverages half way filled. not busy.... First: to be direct, dining at A Noble Grille as prepared by Chef John Bobby is an absolute pleasure. To elaborate: Wikipedia defines a genre of writing called "Interactive Narrative" as a form of fiction in which users are able to make choices that guide the outcomes. In the case of the dining experience at A Noble Grille it is,... More

This place used to be called Noble's Grill and it was pretty damn good for a town like Winston where there's not a ton of good choices for fine dining. We'd dined at Noble's 2 or 3 times and it was consistently well prepared and delicious. But it has recently been acquired by an out of town chain called 'Roosters'... More

We dined there on a Friday night without reservations, so were sat in the private dining room which was nice, but not as vibrant as the restaurant. Food was excellent and service was top notch. Mushroom gnocchi was excellent!

I have so much to say about this restaurant. WHY? I have eaten their 4 times, once for lunch and 3 times for dinner in the past 3 months. Why? I am beginning to ask myself the same question. I am pretty sure I could have spent 800.00 on something a lot more pleasant. Let's summarize our last visit which... More

I chose to eat at this restaurant as they had excellent reviews for Celiacs! I ate at the Winston Salem location and was very specific about being a Celiac. I also listed that I was a Celiac on my reservation on Open Table. I ordered the soup which was listed on their 'specials' after enquiring about it being Gluten Free....I... More
