Came here for dinner one night. Just your basic cafeteria food. Not all that great, but not bad. Food not seasoned well at all. The cleanliness was not good.....carpet smelled moldy and bathrooms were horribly dirty. Probably will not come back.

I come here every now and then when I have no idea what I want to eat. looking at the daily selections is a good way to decide what you want at that particular moment. The food has always been good, and the service has always been friendly and pleasant.

While they have graduated from the servers rudely saying "help ya?", you still need to know how to select their best and most healthy selections. Tossed salad has the best blue cheese dressing in town... Just be sure they don't soak your salad in it. One scoop is a plenty! They sometimes have Chicken Almondeen but it is very inconsistent.... We go here a lot because you can get veggies. Great cream potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, okra & tomatoes. Love their chicken & dumplings, chopped steak & chicken livers. Great desserts. They used to be very reasonably priced but have increased the prices quite a bit over the past year. Still cheaper than most places.

I have been eating at the Winston Salem K & W's for over 40 years and this was the first time that the food was not good. I had ordered the specialty potatoes and thought since they had brought the pan out from the kitchen they would been hot, but no they were cold. The chicken stew with dumplings, was... More

I stopped at this K&W Cafeteria after a long day's drive and was treated to some long remembered comfort foods that I do not often get. The chicken pastry was just as my mother made it years ago! And the Parker House rolls melted in my mouth. The variety of foods was extensive, pleasingly presented and reasonably priced. It was... More

We don't live in Winston-Salem but like to stop there at the K&W on our trips. The food has always been very good, everyone is friendly and the lines move quickly. Some of our favorites are the yam souffle and the chicken livers with gravy. Generous portions and tasty food are had by all. On our last visit it was Mother's... More

I've learned not to expect great food from a cafeteria but it's always been decent. This place is awful. My husband found a HAIR under his cornbread. I got a fish "filet" and it was full of bones. I thought since they brought the fries out from the kitchen they would be fresh and hot. They were stone cold as... More

This is a wonderful home cooked meal. Generous prportions, great variety at a reasonable cost My personal favorite is the fried chicken and yams. There is a great desert selection. For an entree., veggie , desert and drink expect to pay less than $9.00

Staff not overly friendly because it's a buffet, but the food is good and you get through the line very fast.
