Great food. I've visited several times and the food is consistently great! The staff practiced social distancing and were wearing masks. Thank you for that!

We ate dinner here last night, Feb. 15th. We had a reservation, which I would recommend on a Saturday night. Although after eating here, I could not understand why they were as busy as they were. Too many teenagers at hostess desk, they all seemed...confused. Wait service was slow. Our waitress came to take ur food order while I was in the restroom. I guess that pushed us to the back of the line because she did not return for another 15 minutes after I sat down. Salad was a joke. Three pieces of ice berg lettuce and one cherry tomato covered with one gallon of ginger dressing. Our hibachi chef, Benny, looked and acted very tired. Meal was average. Prices were too high for the product served. We will likely not eat here again.More

I had made a reservation earlier in the week (Tuesday) with my friends so we could celebrate our reunion. I thought a hibachi table would be a fun dinner that we could all enjoy and the restaurant looked really nice. Come Saturday I call to...confirm the reservation and it’s not on the books... so I ask if I can make one for that evening and even checked to make sure I didn’t get put down for Sunday or something by mistake. Nope, the next available reservation was for over two hours past the original time I had made the reservation but the lady on the phone said I could come in and they would get me on a list to be seated. So, trying to still have a fun dinner, my friends and I show up early to be seated and the put us on the list and tell us to wait at the bar. Fantastic I think! We can still eat at a reasonable hour and get drinks while we wait. Next thing I know the manager comes over and tells us it’s a two hour wait for the tables... no one, not the lady on the phone, the three hostess who were there when we arrived, or anyone one else had told us this prior and just let us put our names down without taking a phone number or anything. The manager had to come over, say “that means you don’t have a reservation” after I explained my situation and proceeded to tell ms something that is automatic at every other restaurant I’ve been to... I was appalled but we were there and hungry so we decided to eat at their non-hibachi tables anyways to see how the food was. They ended up especially assigning us a waiter, who was lovely, but you could also tell he was being over worked and running to a table not in his section. The meal was fine, nothing especially different from other hibachi restaurants I’ve been to. But even at the end the waiter split the checks wrong and forgot to bring us to-go boxes. It was an awful experience and I will not be going back anytime soon. Might want to call and confirm your reservation to the next day instead of day-of like I did if you do decide to go.More

The ?mushroom? broth/soup wasn't bad, our salad consisted of iceberg lettuce chopped up with one cherry tomato on it. Our meal wasn't too bad, but the waitress asked up if we would like some dipping sauce with that. I wasn't sure if she was joking...or not. If a meal is properly seasoned and cooked you should never need dipping sauce. While we were still eating our meal the waitress came over and left the bill on the table, not even in a check holder/check presenter/waiter wallet (what ever you call it). I felt like they wanted us out the door and it wasn't even crowded in there. We did notice that there were two people sitting at the next table over. They were there for about 10 minutes and got up and left. This place is OVER PRICED for meh food.More

My sister had reserve room for my nephew graduation for 30 people. The initial waitress/hostess had a terrible attitude. Claimed that we had to all 30 in the room before they could sit us. We had 25 in lobby and refuse to seat us and...when we walk back they had the previous party in the room because they said it was raining and they did not want to ask them to leave. There were only two nice employees the waiter and waitress they took care of us. All 30 of us will never return. I promised them this review.More

1st time going to UMI. Went on a Monday night with a party of four. Not busy at all. Service was terrible from the time we "almost" pulled our chairs up. No lie...before anyone was seated the waitress was asking what we wanted to drink....Are you kidding? The evening only got worse. Sloppy service. Cold soup, the salad was swimming in dressing and the bus person propped his "slop tray" on the table and began clearing as we were just staring to eat :0 We've never had that happen before. Oh and the drinks the waitress was in such a hurry to take our order for ... well, we had to ask for them not only once but, twice. I'm not talking about refills. Don't waste your time and $$$. (I could go on!!)More

So we ate here in March and loved the food and the fact that they had a private table area and decided this was the perfect place for a family celebration. We were told all we had to do was call ahead to get the...private area. NOT !!! I called 3 weeks ahead to make our reservations but was informed that there had to be 20 for the private area there was only 11 of us. they said we would all still be seated together. So the private area was empty when we got there and empty when we left yet we could not use it??? #1. We were all 11 put at on table with 4 people sitting at the side so they could not see any of the cooking . #2. 11 people is to many for one cook and the one we had was very disappointing, No show, no talk and he mixed up the food orders plus some got very short changed on the amount of food they received, he basically put the food on the plates closest to him. He also was wild with his oils and sauces and I came home with splatters on my jacket. ( I thought he acted like a beginner and for a table of 11 you would have thought we would have gotten a seasoned cook.) Even though we know this is a slow cooking process he seemed slower than most and we were over an hour in before our chicken was cooking and by the time we got it rice and vegys were cold. Last time steak and chicken were cooking at the same time. I also thought the shrimp was a little over cooked since it was tough. So food was only ok. Our waitress was top of her game. Refills before our glasses were empty and very friendly and helpful!!! Despite the negetives ( and a $300 bill ) everyone went home full and happy and we had a good family celebration.More

Food is not good. I went there with my family and they ordered Hibachi salmon. Instead they got teriyaki salmon which was covered in sweet teriyaki sauce. I ordered vegetable udon noodle stir fry. I got a bowl of just stir fry vegetables and NO...noodles. The waiter took it back to the chef and he said the vegetable UDON noodle dish doesn’t come with noodles. That doesn’t make sense. Anyways they added the noodles to the dish and there was so much oil I couldn’t eat it. I also had a seaweed salad and a veggie roll which were just ok. Not to mention that later that night I got sick from eating there and my stomach has been upset for days since dining at that restaurant. I would never go back there. They can do so much better.More

I read the reviews before choosing this place as my late birthday dinner and most of them were good. But I was not impressed. The cook was not on his game didn't do anything special or wasn't even talkative. The food its self was also...dry. My noodles semi dry the rice was sticky. The whole meal was lacking something. I am from out west and it seems the food out there is better and has more flavor and seasoning. And that's any type of food.More

Latest update.... turns out after me writing my review the waitress, Chastity Macy, was fired. She was the least accountable person. As stated in my review, she was the one highlight of the evening. Also, as stated, my son... More
