Stopped for lunch, we were seated immediately and ordered food in less than a minute. It came out in two minutes and was perfectly seasoned minced barbeque. Well worth the detour off of I-95 to get there.

Parkers has some of the best food in Greenville. The BBQ pork and fried chicken are delicious. I like getting the red BBQ sauce to dip my chicken in. Yum! The sides here are also delicious. Great family atmosphere.

Simple and basic southern food. Fried chicken is great, BBQ is eastern style. Chicken livers are good, can be a little overdone. Slaw is ok, a little too much vinegar for my taste.

Eastern NC BBQ means "made with vinegar". This is clear when you have a meal at Parkers and a reason to eat there. Is a local favorite (seems the whole town showed up for lunch) but the many tourists were warmly greeted. Chose the fried liver (huge and tasty serving), boiled potatoes, green beans and cole slaw since vinegar is... More

If you haven't had it, it's definitely different. First it has cold slaw inside the samwiche! Since I'm not a fan of cold slaw I took mine off. The actual meat and seasoning I did like. They serve fries but corn sticks are what is eaten here and they were delicious.

It had been years since I had been to Parker's. It was just as good as I remember. Will definitively go back.

Stopped here on way south. Enjoyed 2 large dinner minced BBQ plates with Southern succotash, boiled potatoes, slaw, corn sticks & hush puppies & iced tea. BBQ was good but did have a couple bits of fatty gristle in it. Succotash was overcooked & too thick. Potatoes were very good. Sweetened iced tea OK. Slaw was cut fine & was... More

Barbecue is manna from heaven. To be fair, I don't have a dog in the great barbecue debate. North Carolina vs Kansas City vs Texas brisket, I don't really care. It's all good. My wife and her family have been Parker's fanatics for years. It started way back on road trips going to and from summer camp and first taste... More

If you would like to feel Wilson history, don't miss Parkers... when we first moved to Wilson we were treated to this eatery. What a wonderful walk into the past and it has not changed.
