I went in for a mid afternoon lunch and the wait staff paid little attention to a me. I felt ignored. Maybe there weren't enough people working to handle the customers they had. The service was just OK, my waiter seemed uninterested in me. Also, the grilled sandwich I ordered was too greasy.

We were in Wilmington visiting and looking around, when we decided to have lunch. Not knowing anything about downtown, we walked around and started looking. There were some cute little bistro's, but I love seafood and that's what I wanted to eat. We decided to walk to the Riverwalk and see what they had available. We could only find one... More

Finally got a reservation for dinner at The George on the Riverwalk in Wilmington, NC. Since we went on a Saturday night it was very busy. Unfortunately the outside deck was full so we were seated inside but we still had a view of the river. We had excellent service from a very polite waitress, Christine. I ordered the Azalea... More

For our last night in Wilmington i wanted to treat my wife to a romantic dinner. We went here from a suggestion from another store. Right off the bat we had a bad experience and only got worst. To start with our waitress was terrible. Two tables sat after us and received their drinks , placed an order and received... More

I found this place on a website that catered for people with dogs, its hard to find somewhere to eat when you have your pet with you so was pleased they offered that level of service in a beautiful location. On arrival we could see we'd have a wait, the friendly young lady taking names said it could be up... More

Went here for dinner with my parents and husband on a Saturday night in January. My parents enjoy the food and have been here a couple of times. My seafood meal was very over seasoned; it had no flavor other than seasoning. My husband ordered a steak and there was a brown sauce on it you would expect to be... More

Had dinner there on 2/11/17 with friends. We had the spinach salad and Caesar salad. For entrees, bacon scallops, crab cakes, pecan crusted salmon and pork chops. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The scallop and salmon entrées portions were manageable. The pork chop entrée was too much for me. One chop would have been plenty. It came with string beans, which... More

The food and the prices were OK, and I mean just OK nothing special. However. Service took a very long time. The restrooms were not real clean and there were no paper towels in the ladies room. The men's room I would hope someone noticed that the seat was loose when they raised it to clean the bowl , but... More

The George was just an amazing place for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed a bottle of wine taking in the beautiful view. I had the Santa Fe salad and my husband had the shrimp and grits....fantastic! We will definitely go back.

We stopped in for lunch and drinks after a nearby wedding. We all started with a cup or bowl of soup and for some reason they ALL were barely warm. Not sure how that happens. :/ Our entrees were nice though, so overall I'd say give it a try. It's worth it for the view as well!
