I just called the restaurant RE reservations and got the message notifying callers that the restaurant was closed after 11 years as a business. This restaurant had good food and I'm sorry we will no longer be able to eat there.

A nice place for dinner. In a shopping center. You would know how nice it is inside from outside. Great outdoor seating that is covered and heated.

I use to love this restaurant, but after being drenched in wine, I'll never go back. Our waitress was delivering four glasses of red wine to our table, when she tipped the tray in the wrong direction and knocked over two glasses on top of...me, as they then crashed to the floor. The entire back and right arm of an $800 lambskin jacket I purchased in Thailand was covered with wine. The waitress hung it over a group of chairs and wiped it down with the same rag she used to clean tables. Yes, she did apologize over and over, but my cleaning bill will cost a small fortune. The woman beside me helped to wipe off my purse, slacks and chair but it wasn't until I got ready to leave that I realized much of the wine had poured into my purse. My small change purse (a souvenir from Turkey) was ruined, and all my money was pink; but it got more interesting later in the day when a business refused to accept my Driver's License, because it was entirely pink on both sides. Almost everything in my purse was covered with wine, and it would not come off most items. This was not the worst part of my lunch. Most restaurants would have graciously declined to charge a customer for their meal after such an event. Niche, however, not only made no such offer, they even charged me for the wine. The eight other women in the group were shocked that the restaurant staff were so inconsiderate. They insisted that I confront the manager, but I could not find him/her. By then, it just wasn't worth the effort, and there are plenty of other good restaurants in Wilmington. This one, however, is definitely not one of them.More

Our family has enjoyed dining at the Niche for a long time. We love the food and the generous portions. The crab cakes are amazing as well as their super fresh salads. Many choices in the menu. The pork chops were huge and delicious. So...glad to have this adorable little restaurant nearby when I don’t feel like cooking but want healthy, delicious food. The servers are always friendly and very attentive, too. A+++ restaurant.More

Food was so tasteless we had to order cheese to make it better. There are too many good restaurants in Wilmington to mess with this one.

Strip malls aren’t known for good restaurants. Not so with Niche, where seafood treatments made a delectable dinner with friends. Fish tacos, fish with plantains chips, shrimp and grits, and crab cakes were our choices. We all raved. Niche moved ahead of two other seafood...restaurants on my hit parade. There’s a screened outdoor dining space that looks overlooks a lovely garden. The bar and inside dining room is comfortable, as long as you’re not seated under an air conditioning fan.More

The outside covered patio area provides for a great ambience. I was surprised how the strip mall facade on the outside gave way to a classy interior and beautiful outside area. Lisa was a great waitress and the food was very good. Still, if I...weren't on a business trip with a per diem, would I pay $31 for two french dip sliders w/ fries and a drink? Probably not. This is a great place to go if you have enough money to not really think about how much you're spending on a meal or if you're not the one paying for it. It honestly was delicious with a nice atmosphere. A tip to the male waiter who met me at the door...If a single traveler comes in alone and asks for a table for one, don't give an elongated "O...K...." as if eating alone is the ultimate sin. I'm completely comfortable with it, but that type of reaction is what makes those who aren't comfortable with it vow to never eat alone again.More

Enjoyed a nice lunch with girlfriend. Pina colada made with Sake 😋. Add lobster roll and it was a perfect lunch. Good service too!

In the summer, you can wear shorts & flip flops here but you and your kids definitely shouldn't show up in your swimsuit or a beach coverup.
