Had lunch at The German Cafe on our last visit to Wilmington. The German potato salad was wonderful, and the sandwich was very good too. The pastry tray looked delicious, and our waitress said that the pastries were all baked in-house. The service was very...More

My brothers and I traveled to Wilmington, NC last weekend primarily to tour the WWII Battleship U.S.S. North Carolina. I had toured "The Showboat" before, but that was at least 15 years ago. My companions were going for their first time. We were thinking about...More

We were doing some sightseeing in Wilmington and while at the Cotton Exchange decided to have lunch at the German Café. The food was good and the service was very good as well.

I’m not a big German food fan, but the lunch we had was quite good and the dessert was excellent. Worth stopping in for the dessert alone.

Not very memorable. Food was ok. Strudel was very good though. Take some home with you. Very homey interior.

I would probably say 3 1/2 stars. It is better than average, but not very good. My wife and I went here for dinner. The service was very good and it feel like my grandparents house inside.

The food and service were average. Nothing remarkable to mention. I would not recommend this restaurant to tourists.

First time visitors and very satisfied. The location is great right in the old Cotton Exchange and there is convenient parking right across the street. It is not a huge restaurant but there are several rooms that all have an old world charm. The menu...More
