We were a table of four, out to celebrate my birthday. The most positive thing I can say is the restaurant was clean. It took an hour to get our salad and another hour for our food. When we addressed the manager about the wait,...she never really apologized she just had several excuses. By the time our food came my broccoli was chard, I'm not sure I had the correct sauce on my fish and the potatoes were not done. We all had something to say about our food. I have never written a bad review, but this was over the top. Don't botherMore

Made a New Years Eve dinner reservation here after reading all of the positive reviews. Staff were all very attentive and polite, the food was brought out at appropriate intervals to allow for a non-rushed experience and most importantly the food was great! We will...be back and thank you for the wonderful experience.More

Food and service are always amazing! Super clean and all Covid rules are strictly adhered to. One of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington. Top notch!

Tonight we had an excellent meal and a great time here. Food, service, even outside dining all were expertly done. Preparation and presentation of each course was so well done. The duck breast was perfect as were the sides while my wife’s lamb was tender,...juicy and flavorful. A great place to come see.More

While visiting Wilmington for our 25th Anniversary my husband made a reservation at PortLand Grille and it made our entire weekend trip WORTH IT! I’ll start by saying we’ve eaten all over the map, NYC, Boston, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Vegas, Scottsdale, Austin, Atlanta, Napa:Sonoma, San...Francisco, Hawaii, London.... the list goes on. And we both agreed this was hands down in our top 5 meals we’ve ever had! We were seated in a quiet corner (as requested) and had a GEM of a server in Tracy. If you don’t request her, you are missing out. She was beyond helpful, fun, professional, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu and the perfect amount of attentive and such a delight! We started our meal with the U10 shrimp (you choose how many you’d like to order) and a glass of Brut Champagne. We then split the wedge salad which I will warn, even as a split, was almost a meal in and of itself but delicious nonetheless! Choosing our entree was not easy as the entire menu looked incredible, but Tracy helped again with that decision and I chose the beef tenderloin and my husband had the duck. I never ever eat duck (not a fan and often find them gamey) but had a bite of my husband’s and it was superb! The sauce alone was out of this world. But my tenderloin filet was the winner here for me. Cooked to perfection at med-rare it literally melted in my mouth with flavor like a pat of butter 🤤. The green beans were perfect and the twice baked potato was also. And again our server paired the perfect wine with it for us after listening to our preferences. Full as we were, we couldn’t resist the incredible dessert menu and opted for the coconut cake I’d read so much about. Be forewarned it is HUGE but just stunning to taste. Not too rich, not too dense, but just the right amount of coconut and sweetness and thank goodness it traveled well as we barely made a dent in it, but again, WORTH IT! Thank you Portland Grille for making our anniversary dinner one for the books 👌🏼More

The place has a nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. as we were part of a party of 8, I ordered crab dip appetizer which was delicious, Bud Lights, and the bone in Cowboy medium rare rib eye steak, roasted Brussels spouts and the fancy french...fries. The served plate looked very hurriedly thrown together with the big portion of meat laid on top of the sprouts and the fries in separate container also on the plate. The star of the order the rib eye was over-charred on the outside and it's meat was tough and chewy with an excess of fat, in fact there were several bites that had to be spit out into my napkin, uneatable. I didn't taste any seasoning in the meat and only only got thru half of it before taking the rest home to the dogs. The Brussels sprouts were limp and over done. It wasn't a good meal for me especially considering it was a $170 ticket for two. The tab ticket came back incorrect twice and had to be re issued twice. Like I said it was an off night for a simple meal at the Port Land Grille.More

We searched for a special place to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary after being home for months due to COVID-19. We were very apprehensive for all the obvious reasons. They handle social distancing PERFECTLY! I hope they maintain the same outdoor setup even after we...get through this pandemic. This restaurant had great reviews and although it was the most expensive restaurant, we thought it ok to treat ourselves. Prime Land Grille did not disappoint. I love it when a restaurant is 100% all in. From the wait staff, delicious cocktails (we had blueberry, watermelon and peach concoctions), appetizers and entrees are ALL OUTSTANDING! The waiter was excellent and has been with the restaurant for 20 years. He “warned” us that the portions were large. This is not an expensive place that puts a dot of food in the middle of the plate, charge you a small fortune and call it fine dining. The lobster slider was EXCELLENT! Not mayonnaisey and full of lobster. The calamari was like none we had ever experienced, and the 4 of us loved it. For entrees 3 of us had the grouper. Since I’m not a fan of risotto I asked to get the accompanying sides that came with the halibut. Apparently the risotto was great as well because my friend loved it. The spinach, potatoes and corn chowder that came with my grouper was amazingly tasty and delicious. It was a hefty entree, but it was so good I ate it all. My husband had the chicken. He seemed to like the sauce more than his chicken. He wasn’t as excited probably because it was just chicken that he found to be a little rubbery. The dessert (peanut butter cake, peach cobbler) were amazing. If you want to treat yourself to something special, Do Not Pass, GO!!!More

The food, wine, cocktails and service at PLG are always superb but in this time of pandemic safety PLG stands alone as a restaurant that is dedicated to customer safety while diners enjoy 5-star meals. All staff wear masks. Diners must wear masks until they...are seated at their tables. Doors, menus, tables and other high-touch surfaces are constantly cleaned and tables are 6 feet apart (on the patio too). Thank you PLG for setting the standard for safe, responsible fine dining!More

Amazing service and attention to detail! They have a mandatory mask policy and are super vigilant about cleaning and maintaining a safe environment (socially distanced) for their guests. Plus, I am vegan and I never worry about having nothing to eat when I am here....They are always accommodating and the food is fabulous! Thank you PLG for the best experience and food, as always!More
