My wife and I absolutely love Roko! We have been there three times now and have had nothing but excellence each time. Our most recent visit was a much needed date night and we were fortunate enough to be seated at the bar. Jason the bartender was absolutely phenomenal being overly attentive to our needs and making the best hand crafted drinks anyone could ask for ( I recommend the angels envy old fashioned 🙌🏻) We got a first hand view of how busy the bar gets on any given night and were super impressed with how Jason handled himself and how Don stepped in to help when needed. These two guys are the epitome of what delivering excellent service looks like and these days it seems to be a lost art. As if the extraordinary service wasn’t enough, the food is absolutely unreal! The Delmonico ribeye steak is out of this world and by far one of my favorite steaks in town. My wife swears her chicken parmigiana is the best thing she’s ever tasted and of course the calamari always starts our party. Do yourself a favor and try this place immediately you will not regret it! I would like to extend a personal thank you to Don and Jason for being so amazing to us each time we have visited and we look forward to seeing you both real soon!

Can’t rave enough about this first time dining here, everything from start to finish was superb. Don served us like a pro; we chatted with the owner from Serbia; the stuffed artichokes and brothy sausage and tomato soup du joir were delicious; my veal sorrentino and my wife’s scallops scampi with risotto were amazing. Didn’t have room for dessert but the selections were mouth watering! Excellent coffee too. I can’t wait to return here!

Immediately greeted and seated by a attentive hostess. Delectable Italian food served by Domino, who knows the menu left, right, backwards and forwards. Excellent recommendations paired with the exact right wine. I enjoyed the Portobello Sorentino as an app and had the Chicken Francaisa for my entree. Our water glasses never dipped below half full which was nice. I usually have to ask for more water for the table at restaurants. Don’t even get me started on desserts. Cheesecake is unbelievable. I can’t even explain it. Chocolate mousse is exquisite. I don’t know who’s they do it, but I can guarantee we will be back for more for more. Roko is not just for special occasions anymore.

We have enjoyed this restaurant a few times before, finding the food and service quite good. On this past visit, while celebrating a birthday, a chef's special was ordered and was really substandard. Though cooked evenly, the fish was either under seasoned or had no flavor to begin with. And shame on me for not asking the price in advance, because when I received the bill that special entrée was approximately twice the cost of others on the menu. Also, when we mentioned a birthday at the table, our server said she would be happy to give us a dessert menu. The rating would have been poor if it weren't for the demeanor of the staff.

Roko has always been our go-to place to take our friends and family when they visit Wilmington. I truly hate writing a bad review, however last weeks visit left such a terrible impression on me that I felt compelled to share. We decided to bring our daughter and her fiancee out for a nice dinner to celebrate their recent engagement. We were greeted promptly by our waiter who went over the nightly specials. As soon as he walked away my daughter snapped her head around and stated that he smelled like alcohol. I agreed as he was standing closer to me as he addressed the table and I could smell it too. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought that maybe we were wrong. He comes back a short time later to take our order and at this point I am totally convinced that he's inebriated. Minutes later we hear him talking with another waiter about how hungover they both are. We heard this conversation a few more times throughout our meal simply because the place is small and we were one of only about 5 tables there.Totally unacceptable. I immediately begin to look for a manager or the owner who I see nearly every time we visit but no one who fit that bill was to be seen. We just proceeded with our meal and tried our best to tolerate a waiter who clearly had no business being at work. We once again looked for the owner on the way out, but to no avail.
Now, what I did not mention was that this was not the first time that we have had an experience with a drunken waiter at Roko. Our visit back in December was also ruined by a waiter who smelled so badly of alcohol that we vowed to not return for a while. Coincidentally, that waiter was the exact same one who was comparing hangovers with our waiter from last week. I'm so disappointed that this is what's become of one of our favorite places in Wilmington. When we first started coming here a few years ago we thought we'd found such a great little hidden gem. Boban was frequently our waiter and he always went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable experience. The owner would come by to ensure that we enjoyed our meals and there was always a pleasant face as soon as you walked inside. But now it seems that Roko has gotten a little too comfortable and doesn't hit the finer points any longer. Having waiters that stink of alcohol may be ok for some people, but not for us.

This was an excellent experience! My server Danny was exceptional. When I asked for recommendations, he was knowledgable and provided great advice. I started off with a bottle of Prosecco, and the caprese salad, made special by the roasted red peppers and capers. Danny recommended a combination of the cheese and potato gnocchi in the spinach cream sauce, which was divine! I ended the meal with the mascarpone cheesecake, light as air and so easy to devour!
I would highly recommend that anyone visiting Wilmington, or who lives there, make this a favorite!

Very good food with attentive service.
We stopped by during restaurant week and took advantage of several special menu offerings such as house salad, chicken piccata and Tiramisu . Very good !!!
Will definitely go back.

Roko Italian Cuisine is in a class by itself in Wilmington, NC. Yesterday was my honey's birthday. We had heard good things about Roko. We decided to make it our destination for her birthday dinner. A memorable experience ensued. Roko is first class all the way. Our server Domino made great recommendations after listening to our food proclivities. Domino delivered first class service all evening. We started with the Escargot antipasti. Best escargot and garlic butter sauce anywhere. It was insanely good, as was the romantic Italian music playing in the background. For our pasta dish we had their Wild Mushroom Ravioli in a bourbon sauce. Our taste buds were now dancing for joy. Scallops scampi with risotto sealed the deal. Did anybody say perfection!!! Just an outstanding experience. Service, food and atmosphere. We could not have imagined a better evening. Roko is the real deal. This boy from Brooklyn, NY knows Italian!!!!!!!

We went last night with good friends that highly recommended Roko, in Wilmington, and it did not disappoint! First let’s start with our waitress, oh Sheri, we loved her. Very professional but she gave us lots of laughs, fun and good recommendations, she gave us 100% even though they were busy, here’s looking at you’s Sheri. Appetizers We got escargot, so garlicky and delicious, our friends got Cesar salad and bubbling hot cheesy French Onion Soup. Dinner was phenomenal, our friends both got Penne Chicken Rustica, huge portions and they said was amazing. My husband got Frutti de Marre, seafood pasta dish, he ordered spicy, was delicious and so much seafood in it. I got veal sorrentino, which was yum melt in your mouth delicious. Only thing I didn’t like is it was serve with potatoes and peas, I will make sure I get a side of pasta with it next time instead. Desserts were the finally, yup this place is good! What a great night, will definitely be back again. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you make a reservation

We went with another couple for our first visit. The wait staff is very attentive and helpful with the menu. I had the Chicken Florentine with pasta. The portion was huge. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the chicken. It was lightly breaded and fried to perfection. The creamed spinach was too salty and probably needs to be less of it on the chicken. It sort of over took the presentation. The pasta was delicious. Another dish was pasta with shrimp which was just okay. The portion was large. I would return to try several other dishes. They have a great menu with some great sounding dishes.

Best Dessert and Service!!! After having an unsatisfactory dinner at another restaurant we found Roko for dessert and it was so worth it. We were on the hunt for dessert since we were not full from dinner. The service was outstanding, everyone was kind. All four desserts were to die for: Creme Brûlée, Regular Cannoli, Chocolate Cannoli and Coconut Gelato. I highly recommend this place and will be back for dinner the next time we visit Wilmington.

I will admit that Rocco is my new favorite restaurant in Wilmington. I went there for my 50th birthday dinner with my Wife and Mother as well as my Mother and Father in Laws who are regulars. The food and service is amazing! One of the best waiters I have ever had in recent memory is Daniel. He was funny, made great suggestions and was prompt and courteous in his service. I ordered the Scallops Scampi which are Scallops with Asparagus risotto. The scallops were PERFECTLY cooked and seared which is no easy feat. The Risotto was creamy, rich, and had the perfect consistency.
The French onion soup was very flavorful and tasted like it was a rich homemade beef stock. It was a little on the salty side however, it was still amazing. My wife ordered Shrinp ala Roko, a dish that included shrimp covered with prosciutto and cheese. Everything was fresh and flavorful. For desert I ordered Crème Brulee. It was made perfectly as the top caramelized crust was paper thin and crisp. The custard was perfect in its consistency and was made with real vanilla beans.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Omg. I cannot say enough good things about Roko. We started off our date night with some yummy bruschetta. I had linguine with spinach parm sauce and chicken for my main dish. My husband had Veal Florentine with spaghetti and sauce. Finished the night with homemade Tiramisu and Chocolate Gelato! Absolutely authentic and delicious. The owner is a total sweetheart with a very friendly staff! 10/10 would recommend when visiting Wilmington!

Appetizer clams Oregano were small but very good. My husband's chicken francaise was also good. The linguini Bolognese was a huge disappointment. The sauce was bitter and I think they ran out of meat. If any, it was so finely minced there was no flavor of meat only the bitter marinara sauce. Discussed it twice with server. Said he was sorry but that was it. Did not eat hardly any of my meal. He did offer to take dinner to kitchen to fix it? I was really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately I was disappointed.

Very good from start to finish. The egg plant parm is delish as well as the build your own pasta meals. My friend has scallops and said cooked perfectly. Price was appropriate for the high level of service and great food.
Suggest reservations. We got lucky and got a table but every table was full!
