Really nice wine bar/bistro with great river views. We had an early dinner so we could watch the sunset. The place looks like a Parisian cafe, with little tables outside. Food was typical and very good - we shared a cheese and pate platter that was quite generous, and a Duck Confit Feuilete that was delicious. Very French, as in... More

Although we've been vacationing in Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach for years, we had never tried Le Catalan before and it was a very good experience. You can sit outside on the riverfront, although the tables are small and the chairs not that comfortable. Food was very good, but the menu is pretty limited. Service is leisurely, so don't go if you are... More

Have been many times on the water front, with spectacular views of sundown and river commerce. Food is excellent especially the salads and the shrimp casserole. Mostly French wines and very good selection. Chablis is excellent. Staff knowledgable and attentive.

Thank you ~ Merci... a lovely review, capturing all the highlights! The Shrimp & Orzo Gratin has definitely become a Catalan favorite along with our Quiche and now you can enjoy it all year long. More

Had a bridal shower at Le Catalan today. The manager was great to work with in planning the event and everything went off without a hitch. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time.

Stopped here our 1st night in Wilmington as it was close by, and the location looked like it would be scenic. It certainly was a beautiful sunset setting. You may want to bring along a pair of sunglasses, just at sunset on a clear day. They mostly have small plates, classic bistro, but do offer 1-2 full entrees as specials.... More

We stopped by for a cappuccino and beer. We had a late afternoon tapa (small plate) of the hummus and tapenade. Would lile to go back for a full mill in the future.

Marie and Pierre have given the "Southern" traveler a choice not expected but very much appreciated. Great food and personal attention are hallmarks of a superior restaurant. They offer both. Ask for Lilly - their server extrodinare.

This is a pleasant little café with good food. The menu is basically French although it strays a little but that was fine. The service was attentive and overall this was a good place for lunch with a good view of the river.

Enjoyed a late night appetizer and drink while enjoying the view. The staff was extremely friendly even though we were there mid week and off season.

The espresso is very good. They have a very good wine selection for a smaller shop. We came for a Sunday lunch and had the quiche, which was excellent - cooked perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Very good view of the Cape Fear with outside tables.
