Perhaps it's the management or the economy but this place just keeps getting worse in my opinion. I normally go there 2-3 times a week but I don't think I will be anymore. The prices have gone up, but the quality of the drinks have...gone down. And the last time I was in there, the service was just horrible. Again, I know the prices of everything has skyrocketed due to inflation but if we're going to have to pay more, the quality should at least stay the same, if not improve.More
THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THEIR SECOND LOCATION AT THE POINTE, 1407 Barclay Pointe Blvd Unit 405 Wilmington, NC 28412. Yesterday was my first visit to Tap Tea Bar and the first time having this type of drink. I had seen their sign at the...Pointe but didn’t know anything about it. The interior is small, just a few tables and a sitting area with couches. They have a menu that’s like a check list so you can create your tea. I asked Claire to help me out. She explained each of the steps. I selected the regular size cup over the large, the Frostea (with ice cream), Mango flavor, decaf tea, and mango jellies. One of my photos shows the menu, so check it out. You can add extra “toppings” for an additional cost. I can tell I’ll be back, as there are plenty of choices to make up different flavors. It’s a fun drink! They serve the tea that’s sealed on the cup, along with a big straw that you use to make a hole; and to get to the tasty toppings that are at the bottom of the cup. My first sip: Wow, oh wow!! I was in heaven!! Mango is one of my favorite flavors. The frostea had just the right amount of creaminess. Next time, I want to try a Slushtea; and then the Refresher; and then ….the options are almost endless. In the store, you can purchase t-shirts and sweat shirts, and some small items. It’s a nice little place if you want to sit, sip, and talk with a friend.More
Looked exciting, but was quite a let down. The drink I requested and charged for, wasn’t made correctly. As soon as I noticed I immediately went to have it fixed, only to be told nothing could be done. No offer to fix it or replace...or refund. Literally a waste of time and money, maybe if the music was turned down, they could function more properly.More
Amazing bubble tea! There are so many flavors to choose from and the staff are very friendly! Highly recommend this place!

This is my favorite place! They make wonderful teas. I've tried a lot of them! The bobas(tapioca) is always fresh. The poppers are so good, too. The Frostea (made with local organic ice cream) is a decadent treat. It's a great place to hang out...with friends, too.More
They have many combos of milk teas and refresher teas and poppers/toppings. employees are nice and service is fast.
This is the best bubble tea I've had. You can customize your drink and it's made in light speed with a smile. It is soooo good. Visit every time I'm in the area!
Great tea bar- bubble tea, milk tea, jelly-thing-tea... My son introduced me to this place- I've never had bubble tea before- and now I am hooked! Lots of options to customize your tea, and the servers happily explain everything. You can get it to go,...or stay in the cozy interior. I could see this as a great place to relax, go on a first date, do some quiet work. It's beautiful, different, refreshing and adds a bit of welcome uniqueness to your day! Skip that boring soda or dull coffee- bubble it up with this tea!More
