Cute spot

Stumbled into this place around 5:30 pm. Would recommend a reservation, got the only bar table left. The first course of cheese and dippers was great! The food was good and plentiful. We had to sit in the bar, but had a table. The only light was a candle and I couldn't see the menu . The waitress said they didn't have a flashlight and brought another candle. I was surprised as I am sure this is not the first time this has happened. The service... More

My husband and I had "appetizers" here by ordering off the a la carte menu. We got a cheese fondu and the chicken-shrimp combo. So the cheese pot was at our table for dipping and the meats were cooked in the kitchen and brought out with small bowls of delicious sauces and a bowl of grilled veggies. The cheese fondu... More

Can't say that i'm a big fondue fan, but The Little Dipper, thanks to it's staff, is a really fun place to have dinner. It takes a few times to figure out the types of meats, and sauces, and cooking styles, to find what you really like, but once you do it's really good.

I love it. The service is great. I have been eating here for years and it was just brought to my attention that the owner is also a marine biologist so now I understand the really awesome jellyfish tank in the front. It often brings in people just to see the jellyfish! But the food is amazing. I really enjoyed... More

Little Dipper is a non-chain fondue restaurant in downtown Wilmington. Coworkers and I were looking for a fun place to have a holiday dinner before going to a play at Thalian, and settled on the Little Dipper for more of an experience. Although we didn't have the full fondue dinner, it was a good meal! The salad was fresh, and... More

Had my retirement party here--my choice of venues--and picked it because it has a fun ladies night, which we have gone to previously. Also went with friends visiting for the day. The food is delicious and the setting friendly and fun! The table servers are attentive and very friendly. A great experience--very enjoyable!

It was easy to get a reservation for a later dinner time. Our server was pretty good but not too excited I think about the later reservation. Beautiful location, good wine selection, delicious food.

Service was excellent, server was very attentive and good at making suggestions. I only wish the servings were bigger for the cost. I barely ate anything and my husband still left hungry! In our opinion, the " other" fondue place offers bigger servings.

My wife and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our first anniversary. We were thoroughly impressed by the décor, ambience, food, service, and value. We chose the dinner for two because it was the best value. For the cheese course, we chose the Swiss, naturally, because Fondue is Swiss. I felt that there was a good variety of things to... More
