- Read about this place on Trip Advisor and wanted to try it since I had been to the Melting Pot once in Buffalo. - MAKE RESERVATIONS EARLY!. Called on Monday for a reservation on Wednesday and the only time they had available was 9 pm! It worked out ok though since we didn't feel rushed to get ready early... More

Little Dipper is in downtown Wilmington. We think the food is on par with Melting Pot, but not quite as pricey or pretentious. The interior of the restaurant is brighter and more airy than Melting Pot. So, depending on your mood, Little Dipper feels less formal and does without the cloaked & dimmed ambiance of the Melting Pot. The staff... More

If you're in the mood for fondue and want to get away from the chain "The Melting Pot", then this place is for you! Great little spot in historic downtown with great fondue! The building is eclectic and the service is suburb. My only complaint is that they are stingy with the dippers. Incredibly small portions and when you ask... More

I love this little spot in Downtown Wilmington and have eaten here a handful of times, including New Year's Eve. The fondue is delicious and be sure save to save room for your chocolate fondue dippings of oreos, pretzels, pineapple, and marshmallows for dessert! Great service and consistent food.

Reservations recommended. We sat in the bar - and service was AWESOME! Entree for Two was plenty of food! And dessert & you are hurting as you push back from the table. Pick your cheese ... vegetables & bread dipping. Salads - season special spinach with berries. Pork, Chicken & Filet - meat with peanut oil. The milk chocolate with... More

The food was fantastic. We ordered fruit and chocolate fondue. With the wind blowing off the Cape Fear river it made patio sitting a must. Will def return.

This was an amazing experience at a fondue restaurant. Melting Pot has nothing on this place. Britney was a great server and everyone else was very nice. Food was excellent. Intimate setting for conversations. Overall fantastic experience.

The Little Dipper is a little disappointing considering that most places like this have great service that makes the overall experience great. The food is good, don't get me wrong, but for the price and the service experience, I would choose a better option.

One of the better fondue restaurants because of the great selection of dippers. I thought it was a little pricey for the protein addition, but the things that came with our cheese fondue were plentiful and wonderful. We also got the chocolate marshmallow dessert fondue and we were forcing ourselves to eat the last of it. Left full and satisfied.... More

What a unique place....I understand that their are chains featuring fondues, but this little gem tucked into a a non descript building downtown exceeded my expectations. The service was impeccable, the fondue (Havarti Dill) app was amazing and the main course was delightfully different from a normal dinner out. Fresh veggies, assorted raw meats and an assortment of dipping sauces... More
