Excellent side stop on way home. Was a slight detour off of the interstate but worth it! We had been here on a prior stay In waynesville so we knew how good it was already. Highly recommend making the stop!!!

OMG.. the best BBQ in the area. Make sure to stop in and have brisket anything. Delicious! Sweet red sauce is our favorite but plenty others to choose from.

If you like BBQ then you should eat here. If you love BBQ then you MUST eat here. I visited their location in Sylva in October when vacationing there with my wife. I was so impressed that when I was in Waynesville with my daughter...and son-in-law I pushed them into trying it. They have won awards for the BBQ in their restaurant so the bar to impress them is a bit higher. They loved it so much that they broke one of their travel rules and ate here twice. They are looking forward to returning to the area to eat here again. The brisket was perfect on Wednesday night. I think that was the absolute best I have ever had. It was the brisket we all dream about.More

I looked up my last review of Haywood Smokehouse, it dated back to December of 2017. 3 years later and I actually think it has gotten better. Whenever in Smoky mountains, Haywood is a must. The brisket was outstanding, the burnt outside crust wraps a...very tender and moist inside. can you say cuts with a fork. I cannot rave enough about how delicious this brisket came off this trip. Through this crappy year, this simple little meal reminds you of what good ole bbq is like and we need to support these folks to make sure they keep dishing out the real deal.More

BBQ is one of my favorites but living in east Tennessee / western North Carolina area, it kind of hard to find good BBQ but Haywood nailed it. I found this place by chance, after buying a truck from a local couple I asked where...was a good place to eat, they pointed up the street and said if you like BBQ, give Haywood Smokehouse a try so we did. I wasn't expecting this kind of quality BBQ but it is. It's not just one of their meats that's good, it's all. The brisket is probably my favorite but the pulled pork, chicken, and sausage is right there with it. The sides are all great and make sure to save room for dessert because they have some good choices. Since then I've told several friends about it and now they're also huge fans. If you go during primetime lunch and dinner hours, be prepared to wait a while because it stays packed and there's a reason for that.More

Ok ok ok! We love BBQ! So we decided to check this smokehouse out. Man, oh man! We asked the waiter for recommendations and he was smart - he asked what we liked and went from there. I told him I like turkey so so...but loved chicken and he said ok - I’ll recommend the turkey and I definitely wanted some ribs. My husband wanted their pulled pork. Well, I have a new found friend in turkey, so moist and delicious. He didn’t steer us wrong. We took a to-go box home only because we couldn’t pass up their banana pudding. We enjoyed it so much we ordered the same dessert as a to-go for later 😍More

While driving thru the Smoky Mtns on vacation, we stopped here for lunch. It was really good! No frills, it isn't fancy but the food is really good. I had the chopped pork sandwich with baked beans and my hubby had the brisket sandwich with...cole slaw. The sweet tea was also really good! The meat was full of flavor (without any sauce!) and the service was great too!More

Very casual atmosphere, some outside seating available. You get very generous portions and we had ribs (bones) and brisket and Brunswick stew. All were very good, including the sides.

No, we do not, but if you have a larger party we do "call ahead seating". You call and let us know 15 minutes before your arrival, and we make accommodations for your party. We also get the food to the tables in record... More
