My husband and I both had the walnut encrusted trout with vegetables and a house salad. Delicious! The ranch dressing seemed to be homemade and very tasty. I had the appetizer of French onion soup, and he had the brownie dessert. Both were very good....The view from the restaurant is amazing! The waitstaff was very attentive. This is our second time eating here, just eight years apart. Both times were well worth the stop.More

Don’t get the barbecue platter!! Three of us had lunch; the other 2 had eaten here many times before. I like to eat regional food when traveling and wasn’t in the mood for trout, so I opted for Carolina barbecue. In all my many years...of eating many varieties of barbecue I have never had any worse than this. It was SWIMMING in grease. I completely soaked a large paper dinner napkin just sopping up the well of grease. Disgusting. I showed the manager and he did not seem overly concerned, citing different tastes for different people, although he said he would speak to the chef. I got the feeling he had no intention of doing so. In hindsight I should have refused the meal and had something else but I never think of that. I am constitutionally unable to waste food. But I should have this time. My friends had meatloaf (good) and salad (looked fabulous) but I will be chewing on Tums for days. On the positive side, the views are spectacular and the service was excellent.More

Food, Views and Service are a great combination. But the proof is in the pudding as they say. It's a restaurant and you came for the food. If you have fond memories of your Grandma's fried chicken or been missing Mom's fried chicken come to...the Pisgah Inn Restaurant and order their Mountain Fried Chicken and you will not be disappointed! Best fried chicken that I've had in years. Sorry Mom.More

Absolutely amazing food, staff, view and overall highly recommended. The experience was just what I needed for my one night away from reality. Every rom has a superb view that you will not soon, if ever, forget.

I highly recommend you visit the Pisgah Inn. It is located at milepost 408 on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. It offers fantastic views and a great restaurant. My wife and I recently visited and had lunch there. She had the quarter fried chicken with vegetables...and was very pleased. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was delicious. We both shared the blackberry cobbler and loved it.More

We made our annual visit to the area and always make time to get lunch here. We reserved our seating one week in advance and scored a window table. Staff are amazing, as usual. I indulged with the BBQ lunch platter; my wife went for...the meatloaf. Perfect ! We followed up with the sugar free apple pie with one scoop of ice cream. Awesome ! We really enjoyed the spacing. The room could get really loud when all the tables were being used in the past.More

Let me start by saying that my husband and I love the PISGAH INN. We have stayed there on several occasions and have always been happy with the breathtaking views & simple, quiet solitude of the area. Due to the pandemic, we chose not to...eat in the restaurant because none of the servers wore face masks. Odd because in Asheville, Waynesville and surrounding areas wearing face masks had been mandated. I was reluctant to go on this trip (we live in Florida) because of the pandemic but the management assured us of all the precautions they were taking...great! The one place where people were gathering & there was relatively close contact did not seem to be as cautious. Take-out was available but disappointing. On the 3rd nite of our 3-nite stay, face masks were finally required. Too little too late for us but glad to see it even though there are those who don’t agree. That aside, we will return after there is viable treatment & a vaccine to stop this nasty virus.More

First of all, this is a very nice place to eat... some people driving by drop in as if this is a fast food restaurant, demanding food. It is not. It is by reservation only, however they do offer bag meals to go, but only...if available. I overheard an exchange with people in the parking lot assuming it was a drop in diner, complaining loudly they weren't able to eat. Secondly they staff took great measure to ensure safety, wearing masks, social distancing and asking for our preference for seasoning etc. without common elements on the table. The food was excellent, the waiter was delightful... My son loved the cake. I would definitely recommend enjoying a meal here if able.More

By reservation only so call a day or tow ahead. Best steak and meatloaf we have ever had. Big portions of meatloaf and looked like others were getting half a fried chicken. Pricey so check menu online. Neil was a great waiter. We split a...cobbler for desert and it was delicious.More

Went to the restaurant for lunch and noticed the front desk staff or wait staff had mask on. There was NO social distancing. The seating was the same as normal. Totally unacceptable. I did not even asked to be seated. I have eaten at this...restaurant many times and was really disappointed to see there lack of concern for customers in this pandemic.More

There is not a bar. They do sell beer and wine by the glass at the check-in counter for the restaurant, though, so you can have something while you wait for your table (restaurant is first come first serve, no reservations)
