It's easy to tell what's popular in a locale. Just look for local license plates. This is such a place. Very reasonable prices and speedy service. Nice variety of drive in type food and meat and three dishes.

So, it was late, (after 9) making a decision on where to stay for the night, and happened in to turn around in their driveway. Reading some of the complaints, anyone that sits down and reads a dinner menu item for under $10.00 should consider what they are complaining about. Food was reasonable, service good, and with multiple signs indicating... More

Sorry but this place should not be calling what they sell "food." EVERYTHING is out of a can. Of course being vegan we thought the veggie plate might work for us. Sad, sad, sad. What wasn't bland tasted very weird. Won't be back. PS served on styrofoam plates.

Does not accept ANYTHING other than cash. Was left standing at register being spoken to like I'm an idiot holding while my credit card. Was forced to use their ATM which was conveniently located next to the register. The neighborhood kid who mows my lawn can accept credit and debit cards on his phone but for some reason these geniuses... More

A busy lunch place, also advertised as a dairy bar. Has both home cooking specials and short orders. We had the burgers. Surprised that served in wax paper instead of on plates. Fries that way also. Ordered a chocolate shake and it was made with soft crème instead of ice cream and not very good. Would do better going to... More

After hearing how great this place was we decided to try it. No one in our family was super impressed with their meal. We ordered burgers and hot dogs, both were just so so. I would try another place if you want a good burger and fries.

I was born and raised in Haywood County and Ammons has always been a go-to for Friday and Saturday nite hamburgers. They used to have curb hops and everyone went "crusin'" around the buildings. The curb hops are gone but the burgers, fries and shakes are still good.

Love 'em! Just like the old soda fountain types, thick & creamy. Nice folks inside to serve you and great home style daily specials.

We have been there twice and have left both times very dissatisfied. The food is overly greasy and makes you feel sick for the rest of the day. They don't give you a plate when you order a burger. I had a shake and it seemed like all they did was fill up a cup with some very low quality... More
