This is a simple review...order a malt! You will not be disappointed. This is the only thing that we ordered, we stopped for a quick takeaway of malts only. They are the old-fashioned kind and are probably the most delicious I have ever tasted. I...can't review anything else, because we only had malts. Do yourself a favor, and order at LEAST one. The service was very helpful and friendly too.More

Everyone around us ordered hot dogs so we did too. Good not great. I tried their chicken and dumplings. Not bad. My wife had a vegetable plate that she enjoyed. The place was packed so service was stressed. Everything comes on paper plates. Drinks the...same. Bare amenities for pretty basic food.More

I wanted to try the chicken and dumplings, but they were out. Got the veggie platter, green beans, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Just ok. We did get the blueberry cobbler with ice cream. It was good and that is why I gave it...3 stars and our waitress was very friendly.More

Meat and two sides like the locals like it. Great all the way Carolina Dogs (mustard chili onions and slaw). It's a diner, do you go to eat vegan. Family run diners are going by the wayside. Server Haley rocks! Everyone one is very friendly. Eat...here several times when I come up from Florida. PS Homemade pie, hot fudge cakeMore

We stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening. The place was very busy, as it always seems to be. The service is friendly and pretty efficient. The portions are good and the menu has lots of choices. I got the all you can eat...soup and salad bar. All the ingredients were fresh and there was a very nice selection. They had two homemade soups to pick from. My wife got the fish dinner wish came with fries, slaw and hush puppies. It was cooked well and was a generous portion.More

We chose this place for dinner based on the great online reviews (we were visiting from SC). I didn't enjoy my food here AT ALL. I ordered the single bacon cheeseburger (specifically requested that it be cooked "super well done") with fries. Y'all, I swear,...the hamburger patties was SO THIN, if it hadn't had bacon on it, I wouldn't have even known there was meat on it! After my first bite, I pulled it apart, truly thinking there was no burger on it, and see the paper thin burger...and it was PINK on the inside! I showed my husband and he couldn't believe it. He started putting his beef tips on my plate to eat. Then I ate a few fries and they were so salty that even smothering them in ketchup didn't help! So, since hubby doesn't mind extra salt, he took my fries and gave me half of his baked potato. The fries were even too salty for him. I will say that the baked potato was DELICIOUS! But I was so aggravated about my meal that it didn't matter. I gave them 3 stars because my husband enjoyed his meal (beef tips w/loaded baked potato) and the staff was pleasant. Also, in talking to locals later, they said it is an okay place to eat IF you know what to order! Clearly, I did NOT! So, with all the good reviews, hubby liking his meal, and input from a few locals, I'll assume I just chose the wrong meal...even though, a burger and fries shouldn't be hard to make... AND I will NOT be going back to play roulette with the menu and HOPE I choose wisely.More

My husband and I were traveling through on our way for a weekend trip to Cherokee. We decided to stop in because the parking lot was full and figured they probably had good food. We didn't know, seeing this was our first visit. We go...inside and there are booths all around the perimeter of the establishment with tables in the middle. We chose to sit at a table because most of the booths were full. We sat ourselves without any acknowledgment from any staff that we were even there. We sat long enough for both my husband and I read the menu and decide what we would have and still no waitress. My husband goes to the restroom and comes out just as a waitress is passing our table. There were two waitress in our area and neither one said anything to us. People came in behind us and sat at booth behind us and a waitress went straight to them. Seeing as we had never been there, I thought we may be sitting in a area they weren't waiting on. The waitress that was passing by I ask her if we were sitting in the wrong area and she imediately got defensive. I was trying not to get upset but she was getting loud with her comments and began to embarass me. She said in a rude tone, I was going to come back after I waited on these people that were already here before you and then come back to you, but I can take your order first. She acted like we were supposed to know who our waitress was. Also she tried to imply that we hadn't been there that long, that she saw us come in. Keep in mind both my husband and myself had looked at the menu and my husband had went to the restroom and back before she even came by. After she embarrased me in front of the other patrons with her attitude I was needless to say upset. I told her that most restuarants at least acknowledge you and let you know they will be with you as soon as they can, They don't just walk by you like your not even there. My husband and I just left and we will never go back and after reading some of these other reviews, maybe it was a good thing that we did leave. You only get one chance to make a first time impression and that one definitely was bad.More

We went for a quick dessert, thinking maybe ice cream. I understand they had just finished the dinner rush, but the floor needed sweeping and several tables needed cleaning. In fact we selected our booth based on it being one of the clean ones. My...husband had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. The cobbler was good, but the ice cream was almost non existent. My chocolate sundae had plenty of chocolate, but the ice cream was definitely not a premium variety, and whipped topping was the only other item on my sundae. We probably won't be back in the next few years.More
