When I go to Waynesville, one of my favorite dining spots is Bourbon Barrel. I have eaten in there many times for dinner and not had a bad meal yet and it is not overpriced!

We had the filet with green beans and the best mac-n-cheese. The filet is always good and the mac has smoked mushrooms and bacon in it and is really good. The Ceasar salad is wonderful.

I was very surprised at the very good dining options in Waynesville and this place did not disappoint. I am all about atmosphere and this place has it. The food was good, service good. I got the creole shrimp and grits, it was good. Not...the most cost effective place, prices are moderate to high, but the vibe was very upscale so it made it very worth it, high heel and date night worthy!More

This has been the 6th time we drove almost an hour to have lunch (and previous 5x for same lunch /dinner), only to see a sign that read they were having mechanical work done. No warning on their website everrrrr that they’re shut down for...the day! This has become a joke w us! We drive and hope its open only to get let down yet again! We drove this far due to the food and service! French onion soup is the best and many other dishes so it’s pretty disappointing to get there and see yet again... another sign...closed!More

Ouch! It hurts us even more, trust me. I am so sorry for the inconvenience- the hood system here has been maddening as of late and alas, I am meeting a repairman in the morning. I pray that this will finally resolve this issue, and...More

High expectations due to the reviews. Ordered the ribeye and asked for a medium cook. It came with mashed potatoes and some green beans. The steak was cooked to medium as asked. It was so darn chewy and tough that I could eat only about...half. The waiter had already informed me that my ribeye was the last on hand due to a busy service. $25 bucks for this? Really? My wife’s chef salad was pretty good. Only reason this is not a one star review.More

Sooooo good! The food is fresh and savory and excellent quality for a very affordable price. The service is fantastic and their tap selection is varied and all delicious. They also have an excellent liquor selection! 10/10 will definitely be back the next time we...are in the mountains❤️More

Visited here with family all of the staff and service was great. Food took a while and wasn’t that great. Heard great reviews but wasn’t that impressed the steaks were a little tough but were cooked good. A little too expensive for what we received.
