I'm either the most unlucky guy in the world or these so called fancy restaurants in waynesville need to go back to culinary school. They worry about presentation yet the food is actually in edible. Burnt steak ordered medium rare and chicken saltimbocca that apparently the chef from Sicily I worked for did it wrong because it wasn't even close.

Love this restaurant a lot. We always eat in the bar and love the bartender. Great "Horses". Steaks are awesome. Recommend it to all our friends always.

The service and food at Frog's Leap are spot-on consistently. The menu is inventive and changes regularly so there is always something new to try and it is always fabulous! The staff is awesome! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Holy crap - pretty sure this is the best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. Seriously: Best. Meal. Ever. If you haven't been, then save some money (maybe make a reservation) and get down to Frogs Leap. Though my husband and I didn't have a reservation (on a Saturday night... yeah, silly us) we were still able to get... More

I cannot express how much we absolutely LOVED this place. Nestled down a side street in downtown Waynesville, this was an excellent find for us. We arrived around 8:15PM with no reservations but Andrew, the host, was gracious and seated us within 15 minutes. The restaurant boasts local foods and we were not disappointed whatsoever. I was torn between a... More

I've got 50+ years experience eating good hush puppies and this place just stole the crown!! Truffle fries were awesome too! I had the pork chop which must have come from an award winning pig!! My wife had... More

superfluous bar food that was good. Service good. Not a date night joint. Small plates were good. Most great reviews are for Parmesan fries, they did not disappoint. Good selection of beers and wines.

Is it not interesting to go out to dine on a Saturday night on a weekend that is clearly not high season and find a restaurant reluctant to seat a party of 2 at 7:45. There were 5 open tables and the entire bar area in the restaurant was completely empty. See attached photos. The response from multiple staff members... More

Great beer selection and outdoor deck facing river. Recommend the coconut porter and hoppy IPA. Will return next time we pass through.

Second visit with another couple. Sweet Onion Bisque was the best ever. Also had Cajun sweet potato fries that were real spicy. My sandwich was a grilled pimento sandwich, not the best I've had but very good.

Description
A Unique Farm to Fork Experience: Innovative Southern Food with a Local Backbone & Home Grown Libations

Frogs Leap Public House is a farm to table country pub at the corner of Church and Montgomery Streets, built in 1918 as the southeast's first Buick dealer just one block south of Main in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville. FLPH is focused on the culture, art, music, wine, beer and especially the food of Western North Carolina.

Like the City of Waynesville itself, FLPH is Southern down to its roots, but draws influences from around the world. The food is fresh and local, the libations are home grown, the music is American and has a beat. FLPH is home to a family with a passion for serving world class food, wine, and spirits in a soulful, comforting atmosphere.
