There is not any easy way to explain our experience. The place inside is worth visiting even if the food was not so good. However, this was not the case. We had 7 people every night for 4 nights. After the first night, no one wanted to go any where else. The Pub was fantastic and beautifully done and the... More

I have eaten at the Mad Boar several times and it is always awesome! I have ordered many things from the menu and everything has been super. The salad bar is to die for! Porkchops, ribs, steak, or seafood, you can't go wrong. Get the fried pickles for an appetizer. You won't be disappointed. They even have a beautiful ballroom... More

Had the angus burger and salad bar. The burger was great. Very good flavor and the cook on the burger was perfect. The macaroni salad was delicious. The brown croutons were amazing. The inside decor was amazing.

If you are staying at the HI Express, this works out great by being right next-door. The first time I went, they had a great seafood soup and great homemade barbecue sauce for ribs. Unfortunately The service was lousy and the ribs were hard to cut with a knife. The last two times I went there I ate at the... More

I have had many dishes at the Mad Boar. Most recently I've had their Wednesday night special of shrimp and steak. I order it rare and it comes out perfectly. I love the fried pickles as an appetizer. On Friday's they have prime rib. It's a wonderful piece of meat!

The food was outstanding as was the wait staff however the restroom was somewhat dirty. The floors and the urinals boot were. Other than that I would recommend Mad Boar.

Stopped in for lunch and a break from driving on a trip to visit friends. Very large place with a large restaurant and bar. Not far off the route to Wilmington, NC. Service friendly, Reuben sandwiches were good.

My family and I stop here every year on the way to the beach. These guys have the best fried pickles I have ever had! The food is great overall, with a lot to choose from. Burgers, ribs, fish, steak and soups just to name a few. The restaurant is very nice and has a full bar. The shrimp and... More

We came for the Easter buffet. Reservations are required! Buffet was delicious, a variety of foods were offered. Tables were set up with your name and the appropriate number of place settings. Everything ran smoothly. We were able to visit with folks at neighboring tables that we knew. I think we have found a new Easter tradition!
