Good Food.

This place was on the same lot as the hotel I stayed at so I decided to dine here vs the local fast food places. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. This night was oyster night and they were good. I only had this as an appetizer but the menu appeared to have a good... read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant while staying at the Holiday Inn next the restaurant. The server was efficient and friendly. Ordered the prime rib sandwich that was excellent and also had brunswick stew that was very tasty. Would definitely return if I am ever in the area again.

I have been here several times and most of the reviews are spot on. Average food, poor service in a great location and a really nice looking building. I'm not sure why the place is so average or below. There isn't many nice places to eat in Wallace except fast food places and that is a shame. This place could... More

We were a party of ten and eight of us chose to eat at the salad bar. The other two ordered a burger and chicken tenders with fries. Not a difficult order. After we had finished our salads and gone back for seconds, we asked the waitress, Dawn, where the ordered meals were. She replied, "Oh, I don't know." Within... More

This place was next door to the hotel and looked nice so I tried it. The place was full of what appeared to be a local crowd. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and efficient. I had the meatloaf and home made mac and cheese. Meatloaf was poor and the Mac and cheese had zero flavor.... More

The turkey noodle soup was ok but nothing to write home about. The club sandwich and fries were very good. They had a very good selection of IPA beer. If I was in the area again I would probably go back.

Great service, great food, atmosphere, what more could you ask for. The shrimp and grits was one of the best Ive had.

Been here twice. First was very pleasant and good food. Second still good food but table service was weak. After waitIng more than 10 minutes for our server to return to refill water I had to go find her sitting in the kitchen looking at her cell phone and having a conversation with another server. Still I'd go back again... More

The Mad Boar is a local restaurant that we are glad we live near. Several times a month we have dinner there and each experience is delightful Service is quick and friendly, the food is delicious and plentiful, (I especially recommend the Scallops) The setting is unique and comfortable I really believe that anyone would enjoy the experience there.

all reviews were right wish we had listened. dark place-- food sad and service the worst. After discussing the menu and explaining I don't do spicy food went with pasta with chicken. Fried pickles came to the table dripping in grease! Heart attack on a plate. UCK! My entrée came and the chicken was covered in red with spices. I... More
