If you want to try out Gonza Tacos y Tequila, you'll probably find that...the food is above average in its quality and preparation. Whether that's a movement from a 7 at your favorite place and now an 8 at Gonza Tacos y Tequila or an 8 at your favorite place and a 6 here, or some other function is hard to say, but the prices here are high. This is the best place for tacos in Wake Forest. Their tacos are great. I’ve tried numerous tacos and they were tasty. They usually have a different taco del chef everyday - sometimes weird ones but they are tasty. You can easily fill up here...because they give you a bowl of chips and salsa. My daughter and I dined at Gonza Tacos just before Thanksgiving and found the food excellent. I had the Chicken Quesadilla Dinner and it was excellent. The service there was also very good even though they had a packed house the night we were there.

Very good food, great service, short wait, but... it is extremely noisy. Especially so if seated near a boisterous group. We (group of four) had to move to a booth in order to be able to hold a conversation.

So, you walk in it’s pretty dark and oddly enough it reminds you of a dance club with mannikins on swings at the bar and pictures everywhere. You get seated with a view of the patio and past that the parking lot. Once you get...you me menus you can barely read your menu (lacking in details anyways) but, you manage to read a menu mostly comprised of a wide variety of tacos and some speciality items. You order.... your appetizer of queso is so, spicy that it makes your nose run and your five year old won’t touch it after it burns his mouth. The main course of chicken tacos is bland and the meat is cold in the middle still from being nuked but, the Mexican flag enchiladas are actually good but, almost too spicy to eat. I would never go back. The atmosphere was really cool looking but, it ended up being disappointed.More

The pastor tacos were great! The pork was nicely seasoned and the other ingredients were fresh. Chips and salsa were also fresh and tasty. My margarita was great, too!
