My family and I stopped off at this restaurant one Sunday night on the way out of the mountains. What a find! We were told that the wait would be 40 minutes but it ended up being far less. The server was efficient and attentive...and the food was at our table in record time. The Buffalo chicken pizza was the best I have ever had and my family said that their cheese pizza was better than anything they have had in Charlotte. Interestingly, nearly half of the license plates in the parking lot were SC plates. After our meal, we all agreed that we would go out of our way to return to this restaurant!More

Ordered a medium deluxe pizza: sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, black olives, green pepper, and extra cheese. Crisp crust. Not stingy with the toppings. Good taste but a little on the greasy side. Staff very friendly. Like all restaurants at this time, probably short staffed but...pizza came out in reasonable time. Waitress attentive despite having numerous tables. All parking out front is for pickup, must park in back.More

We drove through Tryon looking for an eatery. It was a Saturday afternoon and finding a parking place was difficult. We saw Sidestreet Pizza, and decided to try it. There was some confusion about parking in the front, there were a lot of signs with...directions. We were on the point of leaving until I noticed the drive going behind the restaurant. There is ample parking in the rear. (I also admired the large oak tree at the parking lot's entrance.) Our dining experience was wonderful. We ate the barbeque chicken pizza. It was tasty, tangy, sweet, and not too filling. The hard apple cider was very refreshing. The staff was attentive but not intrusive.More

Front door has a sign asking only one person to come inside, yet they do t wear any masks or have social distancing inside. We left our party outside and o e went in to ask for a table. Six tables outside, but they would...only seat at two, which were taken. When a table opened up inside, I said I have to get the rest of my party from outside...so they sat the family of four that came in behind me. Why is it we follow YOUR rules on the door, but then we get screwed with a table? We decided to order to go and we sat at the table outside that they wouldn’t serve us at. In return, we left all of our trash from the to go items. We used to enjoy eating here, but never again. If you don’t care about social distancing and wearing masks, then this place is for you. If you are still health conscious, stay away.More

BEWARE!!! NO Employees wearing face masks and running at FULL capacity. Me and my husband were very uncomfortable and got up and left. Very inconsiderate and breaking the mask mandate law. First restaurant we've been too that showed they didn't care about their customers health....Pizza has always been our favorite but this was very disappointing.More

A previous review mentioned their disregard for Covid 19 protocol. Unfortunately, I thought this was an exception. It was not. They even have a sign posted stating that masks are optional. I got the feeling that the operation was run with disregard for Covid 19...safety. I will not go back. The pizza was good.More

This is a great place. The food is consistantly spot on, sorry for stealing one of Gordon's lines, but it is true. The wings are always perfect. The pizza is addictive. Don't get me started on the subs, lasagna or the nachos. The staff are...the best, they are efficient and have a glad you are here attitude you do not see much anymore. I hate say this because people may read this and now i may have to wait longer for a seat, but this is a must. If you like great food. Oh yeah Oliver order to go and save a seat for a more positive customer.More

Have been going to Sidestreet for 20+ years. Great food, service, and pricing. Many curb side takeouts since March, decided to an early evening venture inside for a sit down pizza / dinner. Staff do not wear masks, nor exhibit any evidence of management over-sight...for Covid compliance / recommendation adherence. Which leads one to wonder if management screens staff for Covid in any manner prior to the start of their shift. Sanitizing was a white cloth being used from table to table. The environment bleeds over to many of the guests - 'optional' use of masks - side by side seated at the bar - no social distancing in any areas - packed restrooms, etc. Sadly, will not return until things return to some degree of normalcy , even then - based on the stance by management - maybe never again.More

We’ve eaten a lot of pizza and this is one of the best anywhere. Try the hand-tossed crust- yum! Crisp & thin on bottom but soft, chewy edges. Even busy at lunch time so come early. Medium size is more than enough for 2 people....Can’t wait to travel through Tryon again sometime. A quick detour off of I-26E and well worth it!More
