We had heard of Buddy's after it was demolished in Hurricane Florence. Once it was rebuilt, we decided to give it a try. Right on the beach in the sand, a few buildings down from the fishing pier. There is an upper level deck where...More
I returned my food to the kitchen and I haven’t done that in....probably 10 years. Soggy fries, day old hushpuppies (2 of them). One piece of fish that was only partially cooked. It’s a shame. They have a comfortable deck on the beach and the...More
Went in and got seated immediately. We watched several other groups be seated, orders taken and even food delivered while we didn’t even have someone acknowledge us. After nearly 30 minutes we decided to leave and vowed to never return. Good luck to anyone who...More
The atmosphere and the service were alright, but everything else was unacceptable. First of all my Bloody Mary came in an 8oz plastic cup with a dill pickle spear in it. What is that? I had Buddy's ( so called ) famous fish sandwich. Which...More

Walked up from the beach to check out the new Buddies. Just wanted to get a beer and walk up on the cool upper deck and enjoy the view. Waited forever for a bartender to respond. Only to be scolded for wanting a Red Oak,...More
Call an ask, great food and great atmosphere, we had 10 people in our group and sat out on the deck, perfect view of the beach. Right next to Buddy's you have beach access with restrooms and outside showers.

It is a perfect place for a bar on the beach. Its kind of the hang out place for surfers and many of the younger crowd beside buddies-If you want you can enter from the large public covered sitting area super easy-a option to your other answer. also some free public parking. Easy find with the visitors center next to the public ramp and patio. Have fun-one of the few real beach towns left not covered by hotels and commercial buildings-chilaxavaca-----some great food they have also.
