Recently moved to the area and have been to Fibber McGees and it was wonderful! Had the Fish & Chips (which was my favorite Haddock) loved it! The servers were outstanding! Definitely making this a regular dinner place!
Loved it! Best shrimp tacos my wife has had ever. I had the Chef’s Special which was grilled grouper on a bed of rice with fresh vegetable medley. It was nicely prepared and presented and the FRESH (not steamed from a bag) vegetable medley sure...tasted good. Oh, and the side of fries we ordered because we didn’t want to be too healthy was delicious; thick cut, fried to perfection and delivered hot. Thank you unknown chef and thank you Melissa, our prompt, efficient and funny waitress. Is it OK to say waitress or is the correct title Server with a capital “S”. We will be back.More
I am a full time resident but had not tried this place. I had family over and was sincerely embarrassed by the food we received. A $14 cheesesteak came on a bun with minimal meat. $10.50 chicken tender appetizer that could be made at home...using Tyson. The homemade chips, that the menu wording leads you to believe are homemade, were a bag a la Subway. The Reuben I had would be put to shame by the one from Lowes food and at half the price. I wouldn't even call this mediocre.More
I was eating at fibbers last monday night. I was disgusted when I witnessed a manager screaming in the hostesses face. He was calling her stupid amongst other names and profanity. The young lady was crying cause of how he was talking to her. He...then told her to stop being a cry baby. I have never seen a more unprofessional manager anywhere I have eaten or shopped. This man was a sad excuse for a manager. Nobody should ever treat anyone the way he was treating this young lady. I will never go there again. I don't recommend anyone go to a restaurant that treats their employees in that manner. That young lady was very nice and welcoming when we arrived and were sitted. All in all it was a horrible experience. Don't support this place!More
Yesterday my family and I went to Fibber McGees for lunch and sat outside. The hostess came outside very upset with management and began yelling profanities in front of my family and other customers. Melissa, our server, handled the situation with grace and natural leadership....Melissa asked her to please not discuss the issue or curse in front of customers, diffusing the situation quickly.
In regards to lunch there were 10 of us originally and ended up with having a total of 15 after additional family members came to eat with us. Melissa had other tables also and stayed on top of everything with an amazing attitude and natural ability to multi task. Melissa greeted us all like we were old friends. She was friendly, attentive and always smiling! In the middle of our lunch it began to down pour! Melissa continued to serve us with a smile and an amazing attitude even while getting soaked as she brought out our food and kept our drinks filled.
Our food was amazing! The shrimp burger was the best I’ve ever had! My wife ordered the fish and chips. She talked about how great it was all day!
Overall an experience that at first we thought was going to be a disaster turned into a very pleasant dining experience!More
Our family had lunch yesterday on the outside patio at Fibber Mcgee's. Although there was no hostess and the kitchen staff was very busy with orders, our waitress, Melissa, made our dining experience perfect. Though she was constantly being called to serve in other areas, she...was friendly, courteous, and went above and beyond with us. Our food came quicker than we expected and was excellent. Our overall experience was outstanding and that was due to Melissa and the great cooks. I highly recommend Fibber Mcgee's. If you go, I hope you are lucky enough to get Melissa!More
We've been to this restaurant a few times before and it was ok. So we gave it another try this evening and now I know I wouldn't return there. Fried green tomatoes were mushy and not prepared well. But that wasn't what I complained about....My main dinner was supposed to be a chef's salad. My husband was going to have some too so he requested extras tomatoes. Not only were there only 3 or 4 small cherry tomatoes, but worse, the food was served at room temperature. It was missing - well, everything. There were no eggs, hardly any cold cuts. The tomatoes and greens were room temperature. I eat chef's salads regularly and this is the worst excuse for one I've ever had. Not a chiled plate, we were eating on the patio but I was hungry and tackled the salad immediately and it was warm. A good restaurant serves well-chilled salads on chilled plates, and also there is not such thing as a chef's salad with no eggs and a tiny small piece of turkey. So the server told a manager, a woman came out and asked if we had a problem. She didn't identify herself, so I asked if she was a manager which she confirmed. No name. I told her about the salad, and she said "it all comes out of the cooler " When Three hours ago? I said served warm, NO eggs, hardly any cold cuts, and she said "ok" and walked back inside. No apology, no offer of comp. We had one drink and one beer, one appetizer, the fried green tomatoes which were almost inedible, and all my husband had were wings and we got this salad of which it was so bad we ate less than half. And nothing was done about it. $ 67 for this! We could have gone out and gotten a decent meal somewhere so now I'm back home hungry; and upset and out of $ 80 with the tip and for what! I don't recommend Fibber McGee's and by not treating us better, the "manager" - no name of course - didn't do the em.restaurant any favors. I would not go back and i would never recommend them.More
