My husband and I have eaten sushi at a lot of places all over, and this place has some of the very best we've had! Really good service, and friendly wait staff, and very reasonable prices. This is our favorite restaurant here, and we go...often.More

We visited the Shiki restaurant beside Bi Lo grocery store on East Broad St. Good food, huge portion, good price. All of us had the hibachi plates - 2 shrimp, 1 fist, and one chicken. All were satisfied, and 3 had boxes to take home.

Nice restaurant. Easy parking. Easy access. The meals were plentiful and very tasty. The pricing was mid range. Waiter was pleasant. Salad arrived midway through main course--the waiter apologized Been there before and will return. No sushi served on Sundays.

Zucchini , Broccoli, carrots, onions and mushrooms sautéed with rice as the side. Always satisfying and filling. Great dish for lunch. Best bang for your buck.

My wife, her son, and her granddaughter ate here 11May2017. We were very pleased with the menu selection and our choices (I forgot to keep the receipt that showed our choices) For sure worth a return visit next time we are in town.

Originally there were three Shiki's in Statesville and I had dined at two and enjoyed both. Unfortunately the one on the West Side was bulldozed to make way for a new McDonalds.. Broad Street is still great. Since I was on this side of town,...I decided to give this one a try by chanee. "By Chance" also pretty much describes the service as well. Walked in about 12:20 and no one was in the front. I was finally approached by a young man who would end up being my elusive server. He asked if I was there for take out and the answer was no. Asked if I was a party of one to which I replied yes, he proceeded to attempt to seat me. Headed in one direction, and then changed his mind and seated me in a corner all the way in the back away from everyone. I always hated this type of seating because, out of sight, out of mind pays out way too otten. He handed me a menu and asked it I knew what I wanted to order. I asked if the menu was the same as Broad Street in which case I would have known what I wanted He did not know so he took my beverage order for hot tea and left. The menu's are the same. Returned about 10 minutes later with a very weak pot of hot green tea. He took my order for the Hibachi Pork with a side of Broccoli. Carrots automatically come as a side. No surprise, this is my standing order at Broad Street. One reason for this is that it one of their fast lunch menu items and comes out very quickly. He showed up with my lunch a little over 15 minutes later along with my check. While the portion size is about 25% less that Broad Street, it was obvious I was not going to have time to eat the whole thing before I had to leave. Therefore I asked if I could get a "to go" clamshell which he said no problem and walked away into the twilight zone. I never saw him again. I ate as much as I could in 10 minutes and had to leave. When I paid the cashier, I made the comment that I was probably going to regret the fact that I was even leaving a tip. As far as the food, smaller portions than the Broad Street and Mooresville location and the now closed West Side Location. The Pork was overcooked and hard and rubbery. Veggies were good. Out side of the building looks nice but only because Publix built a new store and tied in to the row of old stores of which Shiki was one so outside was redone. Inside is somewhat nondescript but serious attention need to be given to the upholstery in the booths. Cracked Vinyl with large pieces peeled off revealing the fabric laminate underneigth.More
