Good Chinese Food

Lady at counter is really nice and friendly. We ordered to go, Mongolian Beef, it was spicy, but delicious. Sweet and Sour Chicken, boy did my husband get lots of chicken. He enjoyed it. Had 2 fortune cookies. Out dog gets them crushed and she loves them a lot.

Pleasantly surprised - fresh and delicious

Small, out of the way, top-notch Chinese takeout. Food was surprisingly fresh and high quality for such an out of the way restaurant. The dumplings were fresh and delicious - the best I have had at a small restaurant off the beaten path. Their fried rice was as good as any I’ve had anywhere else in the world. Great food and a great value.

First time getting food there it was fresh, great price, this is my new go to spot. I would recommend to anyone you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I have been going to grow green for the past 3 years the food was great at first. But as time went bye the quality went down and last night 5 /9/19 it hit the bottom. The meal we paid $33.00 was terrible my wife ordered sweet and sour chicken but received no sweet and sour sauce. The pork fried rice was not cooked all the way and my sesame chicken was dry. This is the last tim we order from Grow green.😡🤬

Amazing food!!!

This is the ONLY place we get our Chinese food! They always make it perfect! The food is amazing, tastes fantastic, and they always make me want to try new dishes! DEFINITELY recommend if you’re in town and in the mood for Chinese food!

Take out only but excellent Chinese Cuisine

Worked in Statesville for 9 years now and have always wanted to try Grow Green. Friends have said great things about it even though it is a hole in the wall with no seating and take out only. Last week I got my chance. Feeling nice, I offered to buy lunch at Grow Green for two of my coworkers. I picked the Mongolian Beef with Fried Rice and told them to pick out what the wanted and I would pick it up. Took about 10 minutes to get there but they were putting the finishing touches on it when I got there. Turns out both ladies had ordered Sesame Chicken which they enjoyed. Mongolian Beef is one of my favorites. A old girl friend introduced it to me back in the '80's and I've enjoyed it ever since. Problem is that around this area, very few places prepare it correctly. Mongolian Beef is suppose to have heat or spice to it and I've had it served on more that one occasion with no heat and the explanation that some people did not like the heat. If I did not like the heat, I would not have order Mongolian Beef. This was perfect. Proper amount of heat great taste and ample portions. First visit but will not be my last

This is really good Chinese take-out. Service is fast and pricing is average for Chinese. They have a good selection. It’s not somewhere you can sit down.

Who'd a thought?

Have been longing for the old Chinese takeout in NYC and frankly, not much around here except buffets which I stay away from anyway (most are pretty nasty). However, decided to check this place out when in some need of some comfort food (Egg Drop soup). Was delighted to find out it is run by a Chinese family and the dishes are pretty authentic. Prices are really good, service was really fast and all of the food was good - no complaints! I was very happy with the Szechuan Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Rice and the egg rolls were really good. We will be back! TAKE OUT ONLY!

Never disappoints

My wife and I truly enjoy the food from Grow Green. They cook the same dishes served at most Chinese takeouts but they just make everything better. Clearly they use fresh ingredients and use high grade products. I would highly recommend the crispy scallion beef.

Broccoli and Mushroom?

I went to Grow Green for the first time tonight to order dinner for myself and my husband. I asked for just broccoli and mushrooms with soy sauce and rice. They told me no that I could only get some kind of mixed vegetable meal. I did not want a mixed vegetable meal, I wanted just mushroom and broccoli only but they were unwilling to accommodate this request. This seemed like something quite easy to do considering they are listed as sides on the menu online. Although I still ordered for my husband and he did say it was good, we will not be back.

GREAT TAKE-OUT CHINESE FOOD

Grow Green has excellent Chinese food for a take-out place. The service is fast, the food tastes better then some sit down places. The owners are very friendly. I go at least once or twice a week. Prices are very reasonable.
