Don't let the exterior fool you. This restaurant has great food. Owner/chef is really personable and friendly. There's an extensive menu...My husband had the jerked chicken, I had the tilapia with rice and beans and my daughter had a Cuban and smoothie. All were fantastic! Service was quick, the food came out fast! Small inside eating space but on a... More

Ok yes we ate here two nights in a row. We live in Tampa with great Cuban food. This was easily the best we have ever had. If at home I would only go here. Very good price and excellent food. Not expensive at all. Other review must eat at McDonald's only and would be wasted on them. Give them... More

If you are looking for authentic, high quality South American food cooked for you by the owner & served with incredible hospitality by his wife & co-owner, AND if you're in Western NC, you MUST try this amazing place! It is very tiny, & I was brought here by locals, which is the best way to find good places anywhere.... More

Ate here with my husband and couldn't believe how expensive the food was. Yes sure it is pretty tasty and the staff was nice. But at least there could be a lunch menu. Will not go back until prices match quality of food.

Sally, Sorry you didn't have a good experience with us. The fact of the matter is we are not like most other restaurants. All of our food is made by us here at the restaurant. We do not take frozen food directly from the supplier and throw it into the fryer. It seems your "Yuk" review of another restaurant nearby... More

Fantastic food and service. Such a unique little gem of a place. Every bite of everything I tried was delicious. I would like to eat here for every meal for the rest of my vacation. Claudia, the owner, sat down and chatted with us and was so sweet. Would definitely recommend!

Had multiple recommendations but had my doubts. This was extraordinary food with novel Cuban and south of the border tastes well presented with gracious hosts and ample portion. This is a must stop off the Parkway or if you are in the region.

Food are very tasty and flavors rich. Variety of Latin American food. People who owns the place are very friendly. The place is tiny, but clean and neat. If you like culture and variety of food definitely go for it. Jul/2016, My wife and I ate there we paid $56 before tipping. Food portion was good and we had enough.... More

We visited this adorable little restaurant while vacationing in the area from Tampa, which is famous for its Cuban sandwiches. However, we never thought we'd eat the best Cuban sandwich we've ever had in Spruce Pine, NC...but we did!! The food here was phenomenal, the atmosphere was so pleasant and the service was outstanding!! These folks know how to do... More

Extensive menu!!! It takes awhile to cover all the choices. Each of us was very pleased with our different selections. Wonderful folks that go out of their way to welcome and assist with the experience. Small indoor and outdoor seating.

As you exit off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Spruce Pine, NC, go to "Upper Street" in downtown Spruce Pine, across from the Wells Fargo Bank. Tropical Dishes from around the world... Not found anywhere in the mountains and in some cases nowhere else in the Continental United States, unique and original. Dishes from Central America, Colombia, Cuba, the Caribbean, Asia and of course all your favorite Country Style American Home Cookin'. Lunch and dinner includes a full deli and grill with our Philly cheese steak, ruebens, burgers, paninis, Cuban sandwiches and our famous "Riveria". Tropical selections for lunch and dinner include: Fish Tacos, a complete vegetarian and gluten free selection, our famous Tropi-chop platter, Pollo ala Plancha, Steak Argentina and our popular Quesadillas. We have a full line of salads, including our Caribbean salad, our Asian salad and our Greek Salad. Our Quatro Leche dessert cake is to die for! Dine in or take out. Catering is our specialty. PURCHASE OUR GUATEMALAN IMPORT PRODUCTS TO HELP SEND PROCEEDS TO THE MISSIONS IN GUATEMALA. By purchasing our Import products, you are helping the Guatemalan people in many ways. First you help put monies into the Mayan economy. This provides economic opportunities for entire villages that otherwise have very little hope. Secondly, proceeds from your purchase go back to the missions in Guatemala that provide a much needed medical service and supply. But most important, understand it is our primary task to reach each Guatemalan with the "Good News" of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
