Great Food and Atmosphere

The food was both authentic and delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was first-rate. The Eggplant Parmesan was the best I've ever had, and the Chef's homemade herb bread was a work of art. I will be going to eat there again in the future.

My husband and I always choose Pinocchio's when we eat Italian. The food and service we receive couldn't possibly be any better. We also love the small town quaint atmosphere and the enjoyment of dining at a family owned restaurant where the owners care about our satisfaction. We feel so welcome there and love the attention we receive from Tracy... More

We had tried the pasta at Pinocchio's and knew that it was first rate but tonight we decided to give the pizza a try because being new to the area we have not really found an outstanding one yet. We have found one now! The Pizza was awesome. My bride liked the meatballs so much on her pizza that she... More

A company rep recommended this restaurant to me. My wife and I decided to give it a try as we both love Italian food. The restaurant is in a well kept older building in downtown Spencer. I was shocked by how good the food was! I did not expect to find the quality of food we did. Will be going... More

My son and I were stoked to eat at Pinocchio's and were already talking about coming back when our garlic knots came out. Looked fine but were burned on the bottom. Bread did not rise and was doughy plus burned on the bottom. I guess they made up for that (burning the bottoms) on the pizza. It looked fine on... More

I am responding here as I did on Facebook, because I feel it is an owner's responsibility to respond to all complaints about their business. The garlic knots were burnt, they should not have left the kitchen, but as you state, they looked fine from the top and the dining room staff didn't know there was a problem with them.... More

Italian food in NC? Yeah its pretty much a joke, but NOT HERE. It is delicious. You choose your protein and your preparation. Gisepee is awesome and has made us special items upon request. We have taken out food on numberous occasions as well. Definitely check it out.

This was our second visit to Pinocchio's Restaurant, and we enjoyed it just like the first time. The owners are so friendly and attentive, it's like they invited you home for dinner. We had the lamb chops, which melted in the mouth, and the homemade gelato was the perfect finish. Don't expect the heavyweight sauces of the chain restaurants. Pinocchio's... More

We discovered this delightful restaurant a year ago while visiting the Transportation Museum across the street. When we visited last week the first call we made was to make reservations here. The food is excellent and the service is great. Tracey remembered our faces even after a year. She recommended a wine which has become our favorite and was helpful... More

Good salad, the Alfredo sauce was so thin it didn't stay on the noodles. Very expensive, salad was extra but the best part of the meal. Won't be back.

Although you did not complain at the restaurant, it was clear that you did not enjoy your Alfredo sauce. Giuseppe makes it in the tradition of Southern Italy, which is thin and saucy, not thick and gloppy like American Alfredo. While many of our customers LOVE Giuseppe's sauce, others admit that it wasn't what they were expecting. In the future,... More
