On a normal summer this would have been a 4 star review. We are snobby pizza people in my family and this pizza was very good. However, in the summer of 2020 there are other considerations, and I really appreciated how seriously Southern Shores took Covid precautions.
They protected their employees (a very good sign) and were very strict about where patrons were to stand/sit while waiting. They had one person handle the currency while others handled the food. An excellent example of adapting for the times!

I was a little taken aback by the price ($19), but it's literally the large pizza w/ what must be extra cheese and extra pepperoni, folded for extra deliciousness.
Staff was very friendly despite the odd setup they have due to the "COVID restrictions" ... seems to be no indoor seating at the moment.

Ordered "home delivery" from Southern Shores Pizza and it was the best pizza I have ever tasted. The crust was excellent and ingredients fresh and plentiful. We also ordered the house salads with Parmesan dressing which was to die for. What a great eat to start our vacation.

Excellent pizza!!
I noticed a few reviews that failed to give it the praise it deserved; yes it does take some time to arrive but it is worth the wait. We ate at several local establishments which my kids loved but they really enjoyed the pizza; this is brick oven pizza that is delivered. Those who left reviews that were less than 4 stars are probably used to Caesars or CiCi’s pizza where it is hot and ready whenever you walk in the door; just not good at all.
Look if you don’t want to wait for the delivery then drive over and pick it up, grab a bench and enjoy.
Good pizza is whenever you can warm it up in the microwave or even eat it cold the following day and it is still just as good (really).
Don’t forget to look at your receipt, they call their pizza “pie’s” that in itself should tell you something.
It is about as good as you will get outside of New York, don’t let those reviews that undervalue delivery pizza deter you from ordering.
Keep in mind it is a tourist hotspot and not many like to do cooking whenever they are on vacation, it did take about an hour to receive and they said upfront that it would take about an hour so all those complaining about how long it took to receive they were told ahead of time and yet they still ordered.
Don’t take my word, I enjoyed it, the kids loved it and we ordered again for lunch whenever our friends arrived who also enjoyed it.
There are some who will complain just hear themselves do so, those are the ones who like piping hot pizza from CiCi’s buffet pizza. (Rolling my eyes at the critiques)

Good pizza close to the shore. They have salads and sandwiches as well. We ordered several pies and sandwiches for a multi family crowd. Something to please everyone. Meat lovers, white, Hawaiian , veggie all good. The sandwiches were good, customized with choice of toppings and toasted or not to satisfy the picky eaters.
We’ll go there again next time we’re back.

My daughter got the meatball sub and told me it was SO good. Her friend got the Italian sub and enjoyed it too. Wait times were long at 6pm on a sunday night, 1 hr 15 minutes for pick up or 1 hr 30 minutes for delivery across the street. Since the adults were not going to be available I was able to pay over the phone. We will definitely order from them again.

Stop on the way to the hotel in Corolla.
The Store front was clean and our order was taken and fulfilled correctly. While the 2 Italian subs were ok at best the bread makes this style sub and it was very chewy with no crust. The filling was very sparse but tasted good. At $25 for two sandwiches we wouldn't stop here again.
*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.

We discovered this place by accident one night and decided to try it out. Now it’s on our list every time we come back for vacation! Pizzas are well made, the mozzarella is the star! There’s no other pizza place that matches it. Best part is, they don’t look at me funny when I ask for an extra large half pepperoni, half Hawaiian for me and my wife (and doggie!) to split! :-)

My wife and I travel to the Outer Banks pretty much twice a week, as we live just on the other side of the Albemarle Sound in Shiloh, NC.
That said, we tried out Southern Shores Pizza a few weeks ago, with both of us ordering the Philly Cheesesteak, and we were simply blown away.
Two trips later, we are now convinced that their Philly Cheesesteak is simply the best around.
From the roll, to the steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, banana peppers, and cheese, everything is perfect.
And make sure to skip the side order of fries, as they are limp, bland, and unforgettable.
With a Philly as good as this, you wont need them.

Ordered a pizza and it was just so-so. Thin crust and the toppings seemed to be ground up so you could not tell what they were. It tasted okay. Not sure how bust they were as we had it delivered. Took an hour and a half which is way longer than I expected. No charge for delivery. I wish I would have maybe chosen another place.

Chose this place as it was close to our vacation rental when we arrived on a Friday night. Pizza was actually very good (this coming from "pizza snobs" in the North East - ha!). Also ordered onion rings, chicken fingers with fries and mozzarella sticks. We were very happy with everything - hardly any leftovers, so that says something. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We always get “beach” pizza on our first night at beach. This year we tried this and it was good pizza! A little low on toppings but very tasty. Delivery was fast and pizza was piping hot upon arrival!

Ordered take out in June 2020 soon after OBX re-opening. Very decent pizza (insert condescending NYC dweller conditional), quick turnaround. Rather important for present pandemic predicament, very well designed for public and staff safety set-up. Give these guys some business for being smart.

Due to the current pandemic, only carry out is allowed which is fine and as it should be. My wife and I shared a Sicilian pizza (half pepperoni/half cheese). It was good and we both enjoyed it. We called in ahead & when we got there an employee greeted us outside the door. We had paid when we ordered so she went inside and brought out the pizza. She was wearing gloves and a face mask which was good to see. Very efficiently done.

Absolutely love their cheesesteaks! The rolls are the best with the peppers and onions. My favorite pizza from Corolla pizza is the Monte....it's a must try. There is a wait but that's the way it is if you want hot fresh pizza. It's a must stop every time I visit the Outer Banks.
