We really hate places that are all lit up and you have spotlights right in your eyes. It's dark and comfortable inside just the way we like it. Our server, Lancelin, was very attentive and helpful. We started out with poppers and they were very good (they even tasted like they were fresh and not frozen but I'm not sure... More

I have been to this tavern for the solitary purpose of eating their delicious food. I don't even drink alcohol. However, I noticed they have a very nice selection of spirits to please anyone. It is always a pleasure to visit this tavern restaurant in quaint, historic downtown. The service is perfect and the atmosphere just puts me in a... More

Stopped in here for lunch with my family. I had the crab cake sandwich with fries which was delicious. Sandwich was loaded with large crab cake, well seasoned with great sauce. Lemonade was pretty average however, didn't taste fresh squeezed. Nice ambiance and very good service.

Casual and comfortable place with multiple TV s for sports. My fish tacos were very good, fish fried just right. The side of fried pickles were also really good. I didn't like my wife's crab cake sandwich as the crab cake was overpowered by the herbs. Prices were on the high side of reasonable.

Had a quick lunch there with a coworker. Nice, no nonsense menu, good beer selection, and decent service.

Casual and cool atmosphere, great selection of craft beers, good bar food and service. Black bean burgers, chicken quesadilla are a go to for us. Great place to watch sporting events, grab a cold beer and hang out with friends. Can be a bit loud in the evenings.

Decent bar food but nothing outstanding. Beer selection was good including many craft beers. Service was a little slow.

We went because a local told us we could play cornhole and grab a burger here. No one was playing and the outdoor space was crowded so it seemed like we would've disturbed people if we started playing. We ate in the outdoor back area for an early lunch on an absolutely beautiful Saturday. My wife and I each got... More

Had great appetizers at The Bell Tree Tavern after the First Friday in Southern Pines. The wings were crispy and very tasty along with the barbecue sandwich which was very thick and came with french fries. Another very good appetizer was the chicken quesadilla. Cooked perfectly. A wonderful meal and great beers.

I am always intrigued by titles like mystery and unknown. When I found them on the beer menu I had to give it a whirl. Mystery was unavailable so unknown it was. A nice port with creamy head and slightly nutty after taste. Ordered a second and it was just as nice. What you know? The fish and chips served... More
