Proprietor, Chef Pete Hamm delivers quality ingredients and flavors throughout a menu constructed of signature items, such as the delicious "lobsta fries", the ridicuously tasty Reubenesque sandwich and the very popular fish taco nachos. Okay, don’t eat fried foods a lot so this was a special occasion & the raves about the lobsta fries are all around. So, order these with the lobsta sauce on the side (love crunchy fries, not soggy) with the fries almost burnt with no...More

We had an early Sunday lunch at Chapman's and the place was filled by the time we finished. Seemed like a local place. We had the day's special Euro sandwich, basically a Greek-type pita stuffed with shaved lamb, tomato, lettuce, and tazaki ( sp?) sauce....More

Chapman's is located in the quaint downtown area of Southern Pines. There aren't a lot of places open on Sundays so it was quite crowded the day we were there and is popular with the locals. There is a small dining room and a separate...More

Friends suggested we eat dinner with them at Chapman’s, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a restaurant in Southern Pines. Eight of us shared multiple appetizers and drinks - it all was above average in quality for the taste and presentation....More

Was there this evening and had the Gumbo and Lurkey Turkey. Gumbo was delicious but over priced at $19 for the amount served. The Lurkey Turkey never disappoints. A great choice.

A jolly bistro, nice atmosphere but you need to be careful about arrival time as you can't book and you can have a long wait. Better around 5.30 certainly before 6 if you stand a chance of going dierct to a table. As we are...More

This is my favorite N.Y. Strip stop, and we also love the Salmon. Very casual and rustic, and very busy. Service was excellent and although packed no long wait for drink service or food. Not fancy but a good dinner stop.

We have eaten here a couple of times in the last month and have found everything to be wonderful. My husband especially liked the ribs and the Reuben. I thought the fish tacos while they were very good were very messy and hard to eat...More
