My wife and I drove from Raleigh to Sanford to pick up a friend and go to Johnson’s in Siler City, on her recommendation. On her suggestion, we ordered cheeseburgers and iced tea. Tea was great, fresh, and not overly sweet, just like we liked....Refills are extra y’all. Cheese burgers were unbelievable. Fresh ground with tons of velveeta cheese. I had mine with chili, mustard and onions. My wife had it ATW, which adds slaw. Incredible. This review is strictly for the burgers and the tea, I cannot vouch for the other 6 menu items….. 10 fingers up! There was no inside seating. As it was hot, we sat in the car.More

If you want a hamburger the way it use to be done? Try Johnson’s. They’ve been in business since the 40’s I think it was. This place is worth driving too just for that good old time experience, and we’ve driven from Fayetteville a few...time just for that reason. It’s not a big spot, it can be crowded which only cements my recommendation, but they give good service and better food. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Wish I had one now. 🇺🇸More

This is a great place to get burgers and fries!!! Counter bar and tables are available. There is usually a long line to wait so be prepared to hang out for good food.

Ok...I typically err on the side of heathy food and had a serious lapse in cravings this past week while traveling home to Charlotte from Raleigh NC. It had been years since I had eaten at this local burger joint, but I confess it is...easy to become addicted if one lives in the area. I joined the hype/following of this local burger joint years ago when we lived on that side of the state. The fresh hamburger meat is local and grilled right in front of you. You can choose to have a slab of cheese added to the meat on the grill along with chili, slaw, and onions...now that is an old fashioned Carolina burger. I added french fries and a Mountain Dew which I never eat or drink...my thought was I might as well enjoy the whole experience. Seriously, this is a great burger and worth experiencing at least one time or you might just become a serial Johnson’s visitor.More

There is a local following that keeps this place in business. If your idea of a great hamburger is a small, charred, greasy burger with a huge slab of processed cheese, you will be pleased. The servers are known to be rude but that is...part of the atmosphere. Locals place first dibs on seating. If you aren't from here, they will be sure to remind you of that. : )More

Quaint little diner with yummy burgers, gooey cheese, and awesome chili. Everyone's family at this definite stop in Siler City.

Quaint little burger joint off the beaten path. Fresh meat and a hunk of Velvetta make these small burgers tasty. Made to order and prepare to wait for take out, bar seating, or at one of the 6 booths.

The place is tired , it appears to have once been a bright , inviting place to stop for some average highway burger food . Nothing is oversized or better than an average road house burger spot , watch for the Sysco food truck to...drop off the Frys , onion rings etc , the hamburgers are small , the hot dogs run of the mill . Locals remain its mainstay and for the several times we dropped back to see if we missed something , Alert "we didn't miss anything" .More
