Salad dressing was watered down, never got my beer. 2 1/2 hrs for waiting on food. Steaks dry and overdone. Great crab dip

First time visiting. Had heard for years it was the best place in the area for steaks. Unassuming looks on the outside and lodge feel inside. Low light and light music set the mood. Outside of Salisbury by the country club so not a lot...of traffic and crime to worry about on your evening out. Saw other couples, families, business groups and some singles so a good mix. We did not but most were enjoying wine, beer and mixed drinks so selection must be good. I had a huge medium rare ribeye and my wife had salmon. Both cooked perfectly with lots of flavor and a little char. Service was great with professional and polite young ladies running the show without a hitch. We will be coming back soon and often to this hidden gem.More
This place never disappoints. I got the NY Strip and it was massive. Cooked to perfection and the aging process really shines in the taste. The owner tends the bar and is a really nice guy.
Just moved to Salisbury, went by the reviews online for this place. Big mistake!! Arrived early for our reservation, at 7:45. Placed our order, and it took 25-30 minutes for my salad to arrive! We tried giving the benefit, since it was a Saturday night....Looking at the decor- deer heads & hunting trophies as well as the painted cement block walls, didn’t speak of being an upscale restaurant as categorized online. The prices were upscale- for sure. Then an 1.5 after being seated, our meals arrived…. Steaks- raw… and I mean RAW!! The baked potato so cold, the butter never melted! The lobster tail was rubbery and the asparagus was way over cooked! So disappointing! To their credit - they didn’t charge us for anything (no, we didn’t eat anything) but it oozed of “old boy club ” and we clearly weren’t part of that club! Never going back- buyer beware!More

The food here is always great the hostesses are usually pleasant the steaks are fantastic as are the mixed drinks the bartender/owner is always pleasant and is a type of guy that always makes time to sit and chat ask you how your days been...even though he is slammed busy the servers need a little bit of work but overall are fairly pleasant and never rudeMore
I have been to Ivan’s a few times. Best restaurant in Salisbury, though there is one other that is excellent for a small town as Salisbury. The service and quality of food and preparation at Ivan’s is very high. The wait staff is great and...on their game. I commend the effort of the Owner for running an excellent restaurant. Now I must say, there was a reviewer that stated they have been to 30 countries and own three business and has one review on tripadvisor! And gave a rather bad rating. I have been a few places around the globe as well and some of the finest restaurants in London, Paris, Warsaw, Krakow, Helsinki, Lagos, Toronto, New York, etc etc. Ivan’s is an excellent restaurant.More
Just the other night, I took a business associate to Ivan’s. While my meal was acceptable, my business associate’s meal was absolutely unacceptable. He ordered a medium rare very expensive steak only to have it come out with a temperature that we would both define...as “blue“. The owner of the establishment came by and asked how is our meal. We showed him the steak and explained our thoughts. The owner said “looks fine to me”, turned around and walked away. This is the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. I’ve been to 30 countries. I own three companies. I’ve never had someone in customer service oriented business treat me this way.More
Had a wonderful experience. From the grilled shrimp appetizer to the salad with Parmesan Peppercorn Dressing to the ribeye with baked potato- all was delicious! Service was great.
went there had a great dinner with the family have a wonderful time great food great drinks great service and a very country feeling to the establishment
Went with friends to celebrate my birthday and it was a wonderful evening. The service was friendly and efficient, and the New York Strip I ordered for the main course was one of the best steaks I have had. Cocktails were well constructed and the...atmosphere was comfortable. Definitely a good value!More
This steakhouse is a hidden gem in Salisbury. The food is great and the service is incredible. I really took notice on how well the wait staff spaced out our appetizers, salads, and the entrees. Really a great place for couples, friends or business meeting....Well worth the price for the quality of food and service. We will be back.More
Ivan's, through physical location or outdoor decor, does not say "gourmet upscale". The unimposing building's original history is lost to time. It sits at the corner of two roads, "out in the country" and away from the bright lights. Once inside, the friendly staff and...inviting atmosphere kick up one's expectations. When the menu arrives, there's no doubt that a quality dining experience is in the offing. Beef is treated with the upmost culinary respect. There's even an opinion about "well-done" on the menu. One orders by the protein choice. Select sides are included. Several featured choices of salads come with the meal. The delightful "cleansing" sorbet between courses is heavenly. Ahhh..... the desserts! The wait staff folks are personable, engaging and very helpful. Fantastic wine and beer choices. Note: Reservations are essential, for the word is out that Ivan's is a quality dining experience. Arrive before the crowd. Dress is casual and fits with a sportsman's wildlife theme. All's good. Then... more and more people arrive. Tables are rather close together and many are set up for larger groups. Since American diners tend to get louder and louder the greater the number, noise levels increase exponentially, especially when the alcohol kicks in. The hard surface walls and "cozy" space tend to bounce sound. The earlier one arrives -- especially on Fri/Sat the more intimate, satisfying personal experience. Open Tues-Sat 5:00 pm.More
I’m sorry I had not learned of this restaurant sooner. I’ve eaten here 3 times for special occasions. Each time I leave totally satisfied. My wife had filet cooked to perfection, while I had grilled swordfish, probably the best I’ve eaten. For an appetizer, Beer...and Cheese soup in a bread bowl is outstanding, followed up with a fresh, crisp salad (nice selection of dressings). Prior to the main course one is treated to a refreshing Sorbet. From the moment walk in the door you get the idea that they are genuinely glad you are there. A rustic interior with lots of wildlife art, candle light and low “mood “ lighting and crisp white tablecloths top off the pleasant atmosphere. I recommend getting reservations just to be sure. The menu is truly impressive, chicken, shrimp, steak, pork chops, lots of appetizers, wines, mixed adult beverages, and a dessert tray second to none. Truly a well-kept secret. ( sshhhh, don’t tell everybody!)😎More
Ivan's had Parmesan crusted red snapper on the menu, I hadn't noticed it before, with a cream sauce and it was delicious! Ivan's is known for the best steak in Salisbury but his sea food dishes are always excellent and never run of the mill,...and we like that a salad and bread are included with entrees. Really a great meal!More
