I would not bother going here, our order was mixed up & the staff refused several times to take the food back and wouldn't I asked to speak to the boss he refused to come and speak with me, the meal that was muddled by the girls! and the meal was not refunded and to me that is just bloody... More

On our way to Kalgoorlie my husband and I stopped at the Commercial Hotel to have some dinner. The meals were amazing. I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel with mushroom sauce and my husband went with the Scotch Fillet. Cooked on point, generous portions served with a nice side of chips and salad. Also the barmaids who served us were very... More

So far it's lived up to its reputation ( other reviews ) ..... bizarre Here in Merredin on a normal one night stop , the locals recommend it as a good meal Yes it's true , booked tables are given preference over us 'walk ins' when it comes to merely ordering The 'pleasant ' staff explained that I couldn't even... Lovely food and great place to take friends for a quiet drink or two! Friendly service and customers are not kept waiting for their meal. Well worth a visit.

Visited hotel on 2 Friday afternoons/evenings a week apart. Place was humming with locals. Chase the ace, and other activities were being held. Prices seemed to be in happy hour. Bar food was being passed around. Enjoyable with a couple of beers. Cooper's Artisan Reserve beer on tap was a real attraction for me. Great place and time to gauge... More

I had an evening meal at the Commercial and was pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive menu on offer. I had the chicken schnitzel and my colleague the vegetarian lasagna. The portion sizes were really good, and my schnitty came with a fair quantity of various salads. The schnitty itself looked pre-made, but was tasty nonetheless. The vegetarian lasagna also looked... Our group visit to the commercial hotel was a bit of a hit and miss situation. Don't get me wrong the food was great and the bar staff were lovely, however, the same can not be said for the chef. I'm dairy intolerant and wanted to order nachos, I know it's strange but I ordered them without cheese to which... More

Staff were great. Chef refused to remove cheese from a dish for a lactose intolerant person at my table and he was also not capable of placing the sauce for a dish on the side instead of on top of the dish. Would not recommend.

Had a nice meal at the Commercial Hotel in nice country pub surrounds, the size and quality of the meal was as good as you'll get anywhere, no hesitation going back to the commercial.
