This place is surprisingly large and it is really lovely. I had the bronze whaler and chips and it was great - my husband had a steak and it was great. Good service, great atmosphere and very relaxing - good prices too!

Ridiculous prices for low quality pub food. Small serves. Life boiled out of the vegies. High impact on wallet no impact on taste buds. Run.

Between the salad bar (which is automatically included with your meal order) and the size of the meals, its easy to see why this place was quite busy even on a Monday night. The grilled fish and the salt and pepper squid were both worth ordering again.

Very hungry after hours of traveling and the woodfire pizzas tasted like microwaved pizza. Nothing fresh and soggy bases. I can't recommend this place

We regularly visit The Pier Hotel, over the last few months they have changed the meals at the Bistro, not for the better. Thai Beef Salad was changed from a salad to noodles & omitting some of the items like avocado. Salt & Pepper Calamari was tender strips, now larger rubbery pieces that look like they come out of a... We stayed in Esperance for a couple of nights & dined at the Pier both nights. Our meals were brilliantly prepared & the salad bar has a pretty good selection of fresh produce. We cannot speak highly enough of the meals we had, Lamb Rump was divine, Steaks were cooked to perfection. Cannot wait to come back!!

The interior of the Bistro had been refurbished and was quite presentable. The food prices were reasonable and the food quality a little better than average. Service was pretty much as expected. For a pub they did a reasonable job and it is nprobably as good as it gets in Esperence which is not a foodie place.

Meal was lovely - however I decided to purchase local product - bottle of Shiraz with the local Lucky Bay label only to find out the next day this wine is a cleanskin from the east coast with a in house label attached - disappointed

The hotel is right on the beach front in Esperance. The bistro was very busy when we were there, service and food were great!
