Excellent food and excellent service. Some other reviews have commented on it being pricey, but I think you get what you pay for with fish and chips i.e. cheap and big isn't always good. And a hats-off to the (only) guy you had serving/clearing-it's a...long time since I've seen anyone with so much energy and focus on doing a great job.More

When we found this restaurant years ago on a a visit to Esperance we were so pleased with it that we went 2 nights in a row! And now when I approach town again I find myself happy at the thought of being able to...go again - wondering what will be on offer on the blackboard 😊 Don’t miss any opportunity you might get to eat here. You will not be disappointed. It’s simply delicious with wonderful staff. My favourite fish place ever.More

Appreciated being squeezed in and the food was excellent... the exmouth prawns were tasty and the octopus tender and delicious

When you pay $16.50 for fish n chips, you'd expect a decent piece of fish and a mountain of chips. You won't get that here. The place was very busy and mostly 5 star reviews so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, my fish was dry...and burnt looking, chips were cold which made them hard to swallow.More

We visited FF as we seen on their Facebook page they did Crayfish thermador, only to be disappointed and told no that was last week! Not happy Jan!! We were also surprised so much of the seafood isnt local e.g. whiting (shark bay), prawns (Queensland),...squid (Victoria) None the less what we did have we enjoyed and the staff were very friendly and attentive. If you want to sit in make sure you book, its a busy little place.More

Shark bay Whiting not available for the first time i can remember in the 5 years its been on our menu. Prawns also in short supply and prices have increased considerably, we have always used Victorian squid as its a consistently available good product. Esperance...More

Delicious place to get fish & chips. Loads of fresh fish to choose from on the menu, if you dine-in the restaurant you can create your own meal by choosing what fish and seafood you would like and select how you would like your fish...cooked by choosing it to be grilled, battered or crumbed. We ordered the local queen snapper and chips (one crumbed and one grilled) with a side of coleslaw and both pieces of fish were very fresh, cooked beautifully. We found the menu quite confusing as our wait-person did not explain the system of how the main menu works, we found out later on that the menu that they give you when you dine-in the restaurant consists of the entrée, sides, deserts and drinks pages and for the main meal you need to view the take-away menu blackboard to see what fish is available for you to order. This is a bit of a pain as you need to get up, take a photo with your mobile phone to see what fish is available, or write down what fish is available on a piece of paper and go back to the table and discuss your options with your fellow diners or have a good memory to decide what you would like to order as your main meal. The menu also allows you to build your meal from selecting a fish then building the meal from the components from the sides menu. We finally worked this out after we over heard one of the other wait staff explaining this to the other patrons. Could not fault the fresh fish and how it was cooked or presented, but the main meal menu is confusing when you dine-in the restaurant and the service could have been improved on, but it is a busy time of the year, so we are assuming it was new staff learning the ropes.More

Thanks for your comments. Sadly we are in a position as many are, where we have extreme staff shortages. As such quite a few are new, younger and more inexperienced than what we require, they have been thrust into roles outside their ability and training,...More

I don't know if the cleaner cooked are food ,but it was the worsted fish and chips we have ever eaten (tried eating ). The batter was like rock ,and the fish inside, was like eating rubber. We would never eat in there ever ,again. One...more point we waited 40 minutes for are take away, which finished up in the bin.
