We went there for breakfast, all seemed fine. Not many customers, so you figure it shouldn’t take long. Order taken, really simple food - toast - so no drama to make. 20 minutes, 40 minutes…..nothing. Nobody coming by to say “sorry but we’re really busy”, or “sorry it won’t be much longer”. Nothing. 45 minutes….60 minutes….nothing.... Staff fiddling with cutlery,... More

We stumbled on this on our first night in Bright and ate there 4 times! Always the potatoes and the gnocchi. The area looking over the river is like a fairy garden and was perfect. Nice simp,e food, quick service and a great location.

My partner ani met friends there for lunch. We had a great table under a tree overlooking the river and had a good outlook to the park. The meal was served on shared plates which I had not experienced before and the four of us enjoyed the sharing of each meal each of us had chosen. It was a great... More

Ginger Baker continues to serve up innovative and tasty meals that are popular with all ages, visitors and tourists alike. It is a popular venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner (only some nights over summer). It is hard to beat the ambiance of its outdoor garden where you can eat in the shade while you watch everyone at play in... More

Terrific location overlooking the river, friendly and willing staff are the main pluses. In contrast to other reviewers I thought the food was ok but nothing special - to me the menu reads better than what actually appears. I would have added an extra star if "the Stents", who were providing live music the day we went, performed every day!

Had really here during a recent trip to Bright. Had the corn fritters and they were AMAZING!!! Possibly the best I've ever had. Other food around the table was also great. The only downside was the lady who took our orders, she was a little too direct, a little more friendliness and I'd say this place would be the whole... More

The food and coffee is great but it takes a long time for your order to come. We were a party of 3, 2 coffees came in around 20 minutes but the third took another 25 minutes?? Plenty to choose from in Bright so we didn't go back.
