Beautiful, fresh Asian food, served in a really elegantly renovated cottage style restaurant. We had 4 entrees, all amazing, 3 mains and 2 desserts between 4 of us and every dish was really tasty, beautifully fresh and full of flavour but the stand out was the Pork Belly and the Massaman curry which were fantastic ! Wine list is nearly... More

The meal I had at fermentAsian was one of the best I have ever had. I can't begin to describe the flavours, except to say they were delicious. We were given help to decide which wine we wanted, which was appreciated as the "wine book" was enormous. The service was great, the food delicious, the wine was good - a... More

Our multi-course meal consisted of betel leaves with sticky Barossa Hampshire pork; grilled quail with pomegranate sauce; lightly fried Hanoi spring rolls with pork, herbs and Vietnamese dipping sauce; and yellow curry with Mulloway (a local, mild-tasting, firm white fish). Given the amazing wine list, we were pleasantly surprised that our very knowledgeable server recommended a relatively inexpensive, dry Clare... More

Most enjoyable & surprised to happen upon such a top quality restaurant in Tanunda. Wish it was closer to the Mornington peninsula. The Wagu curry was brilliant, and I am not fan of coconut. All in all a great lunch, at what we thought to be very reasonably priced.

Best of the 3 Restaurants we visited in the Barossa Valley. Great food service and nice wine list. In centre of Tanunda and easy access to hotels and clubs for pre or post dinner drinks. We highly recommend.

The spring rolls were fantastic. A taste sensation. Loved the main. Service was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Barossa.

9 of us met here for lunch on a Sunday. With this number of people we were resticted to a "banquet" style food offering. This was not any issue for us as we had no particular food restrictions. All the food was woderfull and very tasty. The one issue I have is that they do not offer seperate bills. Not... More

Small seasonal menu of Northern Vietnamese-influenced cuisine. The focus is on local produce, most of which is grown in the family vegetable and herb garden. The business also boasts the most comprehensive wine list in South Australia, with international focus on wines that harmonise with the subtly spiced Asian cuisine. Don't expect to find a large listing of the sweet-fruited highly-charged and alcoholic Barossa Shiraz's, but you will find pages and pages of Champagne, German Riesling, White and Red Burgundy, Beaujolais, as well as the most comprehensive listing of wines from new and exciting local Barossa, Clare and Adelaide Hills producers. A wine pilgrim's paradise established for the local wine making community, many of whom are seen each night enjoying dinner at fermentAsian.
