The first thing you notice is the great aroma and warmth of the pizzas cooking. The staff were great. The pizzas were super. The atmosphere was cool, with records playing and a good selection of wine and beer. It was a great place for us to unwind and look back on our Flinders Ranges experience on the way home.

The Black Sheep had been recommended so we ordered takeaways. Slight confusion with our order but pizzas ended up more than we could finish in one night. These are old style Italian pizzas (not your local mass produced Dominos variety) and were very tasty. Next time we might try the dine in experience.

We bought a pizza as it was all that was available that night. It was pretty ordinary. An interesting touch wad the wine available: every bottle was $35 dollars. There are so few places to eat in Burra. It seems to be hotels or this restaurant. We will give it one more try

This is the second time we have had lunch here and again it didn't disappoint. Service is super friendly, wine list is great and the food is amazing. Delicious home made pasta and fantastic pizza, all very reasonably priced. Even picked up a few Italian groceries before leaving! Will definitely return here, makes you feel like you have stepped into... More

Shared the antipasto and managed to get through only half a fabulous pizza between the two of us. Very generous servings of incredibly tasty food. Help yourself to wine from the shelf and it's all the same price! Paolo changes the menu depending on what's fresh. Mussels in broth and two pasta dishes were specials on top of the usual... More

We had dinner here and ordered one of their wood over pizzas to share between two. It was delicious and ample for a meal for both of us. A quirky country atmosphere and excellent food.

This restaurant is not open all week only on Thursday to Saturday nights whilst we were in town, hence you need to book as it is very popular with the locals. Great food and very friendly owners.

Warm and inviting. Its like stepping into an italian food festival. Basic tables. Basic seats. Butchers paper on the tables. A menu of pizzas, and a spoken menu with mussels in broth, and the two pasta offers of the evening (this night was ragu and broccoli and parmesan) The italian hot chocolate was thick and rich! The pizzas looked amazing.... More
