Good family restaurant

Meals are always good. If you love pizzas this is the place for you, as they have won awards for pizza. Do offer other meals as well. Usually quite busy on the weekend so would pay to make a reservation. Have a nice outdoor dining area.

The staff were great, the coffee was just as we asked them to make it, bloody hot. The only complaint about the breakfast from all 8 people I dined with was that the bacon was too crisp. If you like your bacon just cooked then I guess you should state that when you order. Other than that it was very... More

Late in the afternoon (3.30pm) of our barossa wanderings we found the old mill shopfront / pizza house in murray street, Angaston with the '40's' sign. Two choices of seating: cafe or shearing shed style enclosed patio, which was welcomingly warm during our summer down pour. Vittoria Coffee is strong, lemon & white chocolate & death by chocolate cakes are... More

We both were disappointed with the pizzas as they were burnt. We most likely wouldn't go back on our next visit.

Good food, enjoyed a nice ravioli but pizza was very average and over priced. Nice staff good atmosphere but prices definitley don't match the food. Had the margarita pizza which was nothing special - good Italian chefs pride themselves on the most simple pizza being their best. It was cold by the time it arrived and lacked love and flavour... It has those wonderful pizza you shouldn't miss! It is a bit pricey but definitely worthy. Especially the seafood pizza! The staffs are friendly and kids are welcomed!

Many locals raved about 40's cafe being amazing and well known for their pizzas so we made a booking for a Saturday night and walked into the diner with high expectations. The price of the pizzas were excessive considering their quality and size. Labelled the best pizza house in all of South Australia, one would expect to be blown away.... More

A few choices in this town but we are glad we chose this one. The Publicans pizza had everything our hearts desired as toppings and we were rewarded with a lovely base loaded with great quality ingredients, the deli meats in particular. The quality of the Greek salad also was in line, with fab dressing but one little niggle of... More

Expectations were high but the pizza was overpriced and overcooked. The waygu beef roll & service was great but disappointed overall.
