Though the service was pleasant, this restaurant was dubiously clean and the food was frankly awful. I say this as someone who's been to Sicily dozens of times, too. Everything about our meal was disappointing, but especially the vaunted fish cuscus. It's frankly impossible for...More

This was one of the few trattorias that was open after 1pm! Although the atmosphere wasn't the greatest,(due to the other couples eating in silence), this would not stop us from coming back. The pasta with sardines is delightful and the pasta with prawns is...More

what a wonderful place! We were suggested to go and eat here for the best fish cous cous in the area, and they were right! From the start to the end it was a delicious dinner, the restaurant is slightly hidden and not much exposed...More

Walked in for lunch during a very hot day in summertime. There weren't a lot of people on the streets and in the restaurants (Italian holiday season). Still the owner and waiters were enthousiastic, and served us a wonderful lunch. "We came here because the...More

Visited about 4 years ago and loved it, we were really looking forward to returning. It was disappointing, the food was not as good as before, small portions, lacking flavour and over priced for the quality. Won't return.

I've visited Cantina Siciliana many times over the years and always schedule a stop when I'm in western part of Sicily. Why? Partly for the delicious menu, partly for the delightful welcome from chef-owner Pino Maggiore, partly for the atmosphere with its evocation of a...More

Suggested by a friend who has visited Trapani often. But she never ate here. Sicilian cuisine is an important part of our holiday experience. And there is so much better here. Service and food was a insult to the typical Sicilian offer. Go elsewhere.....anywhere will...More

Beautiful decor. Wonderful host. Delicious 'crudi' /raw prawns. Excellent 'pesce spada' i.e. swordfish. To die for cannoli. Epic casatella Sicliiana. Fantastic 'Baglio del Cristo di Campobello DOC, Lusira', Syrah 2012.

I seen a lot of very good comments about this place so was really looking forward to dinner here recently. It's certainly a nice place but only 2 out of the 4 of us dining were actually happy with the food. In my case my...More
