I eat at this diner at least once per week. It is in a great location off Winstead Ave and Hwy 64, just one exit from i-95. This place has a 50's diner feel. The breakfast is really good. I recommend the "U-Turn" if you are really hungry. They also serve the typical hamburger/milkshake type of thing and they do... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch while traveling back home from PA. The diner isn't far from I-95 and offers a wide variety of food. We were initially struck by the number of vehicles in their parking lot as it was a Sunday and not yet noontime. Actually, as it turned out, we were very happy we had... More

I stop here a couple times a year and it is still very good. We stopped on a Saturday for lunch. The place was very busy. We were seated quickly. Our server did a good job while being so busy. The food was very good and the prices are good also. We will be back.

I see why the Highway Diner has the certificate of excellence. Because it deserves it. We stopped in yesterday for breakfast because they have parking for RV's in back. As it turned out, we had a wonderful breakfast. My wife's waffle was done perfectly and my South of the Border omelet was fantastic. Service was a bit slow but they... More

We were headed to the OBX and stopped in for lunch. We ordered their special which was fried fish. It was flounder and very delicious. Will do that again‼️

We have stopped several times in the past for breakfast, as it is only a few miles off 95. Today my eggs were perfect as were the hash browns, but the link sausage had no warmth at all. Coffee was god service was excellent. Maybe next time I'll stay away from the Sausage.

Faux retro roadside diner supported heavily by locals. Try the house burger- fried green tomatos and pimento cheese. Not bad

We enjoyed our burgers, the sides were simple, but decent. Typical of a good diner. The service was average. We didn't have any shakes. Good and decently priced for a quicker meal on the road.

Based on several of the reviews I read, I was expecting top notch service. What I got was below average. I sat at the counter where every server walked by me several times and not a single one of them said a single word to me. My server took my order then disappeared for at least 10 minutes. Place was... More
