The atmosphere is really neat, very old school, and the staff is crazy friendly. The menu choices are very vast but quite unique and the food is very consistent. Fried Green tomatoes are offered as a side item all of the time. Really cool place to have lunch.

This is the place for a great omelet, a really great bacon cheeseburger or a mouth-watering piece of chocolate cake. Then there are the milkshakes. Wow.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice quick and inexpensive lunch stop. Excellent coffee and homemade ranch dressing for the salad.

After 10+ hours of travel, we ordered food to go. Ordered a grilled chicken house salad. Was good. Fresh. My husband had a club sandwich and it was stacked. He chose a side of coleslaw and said it was ok. Gave us plenty of napkins, plastic utensils, and even some crackers with my salad. Two meals came to around $17... More

As a long time NC resident, the pimento cheese BLT didn't live up to my expectations. I would have liked the pimento cheese to be sharper and the fried green tomato to be softer. That said, I enjoyed my visit to the diner and would gladly go back. The food was good, the portions were generous, and the service was... More

Very reasonably priced diner comfort food menu. Real retro atmosphere with red and white plastic upholstered chairs, 45rpm records and pictures of James Dean on the walls. The homemade chicken soup was exceptional; it went well with my grilled pimento cheese sandwich. Breakfast was even better. Good old-fashioned southern biscuits and gravy with eggs.

Four of us were traveling home from a visit to friends in NC. We stopped for lunch at the Highway Diner. We had salads and sandwiches and everyone was happy with the choices made. The server displayed real southern hosptality.

Perfect location when staying at Candlewood Suites. Fast take-out. Breakfast was large and yummy, ok maybe a bit greasy but it is bacon and eggs!
