Chew N' Chat is a local Rocky Mount favorite that periodically has oysters on the menu. Market Price but you get sides to go with your order. You can't go wrong! The oysters are tasty, plump and worth geting to Chew N' Chat before they...sell out which happens frequently. The locals love the place and there is good reason. Friendly, outgoing and you may even see people you know! If you aren't a oyster lover there are plenty of other good offerings on the menu! So go and chew and chat!More

Saw this restaurant on Trip Advisor and it is a little off the main highway, but as usual it is a favorite of the locals. Food and service very good and friendly. Worth the travel and will be back

Ate breakfast this AM with a friend. He had a link sausage and egg biscuit with warm syrup and coffee. I had two eggs over medium with tenderloin, grits, and a biscuit. Everything was cooked perfectly and served with a generous helping of smiles and...kindness. I highly recommend this establishment.More

Our church lunch group at here after service. We all had different varieties of their burger offerings. There were no complaints and everyone enjoyed their meal. The quality of the meat was outstanding, as well as the size. Burgers are served with a choice of...side. They have salads and other sandwiches. The burger is the best bet.More

We have lived in Rocky Mount for 15 years and I’ve never heard of this place. Friend of ours said it was excellent food at a wonderful price. Four of us went to give it a try. It’s only open a few nights a week...mostly for breakfast and lunch on a daily basis. They have a very small place with not many tables. We got there about 6 PM and did not have to wait for a table but by the time we left there was a line waiting for tables. Ambience is not the name of the game here. They had a surprisingly good variety of meals. I had the Cajun pasta which was excellent, One friend had flounder which he really enjoyed and the two ladies had salads with various types of chicken preparations on them. The food was excellent and the prices were very economical. Looking forward to going back. This is now a known gem.More

Stopped here on my way towards DC. The place is smallish with 5-7 tables and is quick easy food. Had breakfast here which was palatable. Nothing fancy but does the job. The service is quick and the prices reasonable. Nice place to stop if you...don't really want to get into the city for a meal.More

There's breakfast and then there's this place. Located about 4 miles off of 95 in Rocky Mount NC. A two egg omelette and home fries. Sounds like the typical breakfast, but it's so much better. Real cheddar cheese gooeyness and potatoes with sauteed onions. Onions...sauteed in butter. It doesn't get any better than this. Oh, and those biscuits!More

We found this place on the way home from our Myrtle Beach trip a couple of years ago and have made it an annual tradition. It is just a few miles off the I-95 and the food is really good. The staff is so friendly...and attentive while the price is just right. Why would anyone stop at a Waffle House when you have the Chew-n-Chat Cafe? Try it, you’ll love it! Happy Travels!More
