Upscale casual with an elevated food and drink menu. Foods served can be found from all across the map, "An American Table". Great atmosphere, with beautifully plated, made from scratch foods. Full bar with an emphasis on Bourbon. Featuring 10 North Carolina Craft beers on Tap.
Great local spot for dinner. Last night was my third visit here over the past two years. Everything here is well prepared and the service is great. Nice craft beer list too.
The fried pickles and the Wedge are great starts for any meal here.
Got takeouts while staying in Rocky Mount. Clearly more sophisticated menu than anything else in the vicinity. Only wanted salads, but opted for appetizer biscuits and bread pudding dessert. All were very tasty. Had to wait a little longer than I would have imagined for...a previously called-in order, but it was OK. Would definitely recommend.More
Both entrees were very good, prices are very reasonable; clearly a talented chef running the kitchen. The atmosphere seemed a bit more "diner" with the metal tables and chairs compared to the food quality and offerings but it is a comfortable, great spot to eat...and not far off I95 either.More
Found this place on my maps app while driving on I-95. While it’s 1-2 miles from freeway, it is well worth the stop. Beautiful, casual environment with great southern dishes with many creative twists. Had the kung pao brussel sprouts which were amazing. Had the...fried chicken which was perfectly crispy/crunchy on the outside and moist tender on the inside. Husband had the ribs which are smoked overnight: fall off the bone tender in a delicious sauce. He subbed the truffle mac and cheese which was excellent. Service was great...what a gem this place is...and, really reasonable prices. Check it out!❤️More
My husband and I are visiting from out of state and stopped in for dinner. We had the Buffalo Calamari and Shrimp with Gorgonzola Appetizer and The Wedge Salad. Both were amazing! The Moscow Mules are excellent! For our entrees we had The Beef Brisket...and the Crab Cake Dinner. My husband really enjoyed his b Kiki risket but I didn’t taste it; but, The crab cake meal that I had, was the most amazing food that I have ever put in my mouth! Our waitress Christy was very friendly and attentive. The tables were a distance apart, hand sanitizer was readily available and masks were worn. It was an excellent dinner!! STANDING OVATION👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻More
We’ve been in the area a couple of years and decided to try LouRedas for our special night out. (Our favorite upscale restaurant in town hasn’t opened for dine in yet.) When we arrived there were lots of tables available but the hostess tried to...seat us at a tiny table next to the take-out door. We asked to be moved to a larger table. During our meal we observed 2 other couples shown to that same little table who also ended up moving. The main issue is the metal bistro type chairs which one person in a party of 2 would need to occupy. With the larger tables both people can sit on one side on the more comfortable bench seat. One of the couples who were moved even ended up sitting on the bench seat, sharing one side of a table for two! I don’t understand why the owners can’t upgrade to more comfortable seating. If I’m planning to spend upwards of $20 dollars for a meal I should be able to sit in something at least as soft as the chairs at Highway 55, the more casual and affordable restaurant.
As for the food, it was good but not what I would call excellent. My crab cakes came with a mushy version of Maque Chou, a mixture of corn, peas and potatoes. I would have much rather been able to substitute on of the side items instead. When I originally asked the waiter what came with the crab cakes he told me asparagus which would have been fine. After reading the menu in more detail I pointed out that asparagus only came with the salmon but he didn’t offer to allow me to make any substitutions. My husband was happy with his grouper meal but for $28 it should have been a much larger serving. Not sure we’ll give LouRedas another try until their atmosphere is in line with their menu!More

Last time I was there, they did not take reservations. But they do have something they describe as "call-ahead seating." Call about a half-hour ahead of time, and if there's a line they'll put your name on the list. In the past, we've been able to use this and get seated as soon as we arrive at the front door. People in line were upset ... "Hey I thought they didn't take reservations." They don't. But ya gotta know the trick. All that said, this doesn't help at all if you're trying to make reservations for a special occasion, or Mothers Day. Good luck!
