This is a place where people come and meet up to have a decent food. It's not fancy or anything. But, the food has been consistently good, and the people are very friendly. They only take cash. No credit or debit card. Plain and simple....Definitely worth a visit. We ordered cheese burgers with chili and slaw. Loved it. Even the hotdogs with chili and slaw were really good. It's a crave worthy food.More
Nothing fancy ... food delivered on napkins layed out on table .. but reasonably priced cooked to order hot dogs and hamburgers (and a few sandwiches, such as toasted cheese) with french fries. For when you want a REAL burger or dog.
Central Cafe has been the longest serving restaurant in downtown Rocky Mount since my move to the area in 2001. Tasty hotdogs and chili cheeseburgers are the best. Haven't tried their breakfast so I can't comment on it. You won't be disappointed with their lunch...menu.More
Their food is the worst in the country. For breakfast they served me rotten meat the grits was not cooked all they way and the eggs were just horrible. I did not pay them neither I just walked and never returned to that place again....They need to be shut down!!!! ForeverMore
Just stopped by for coffees and a lite bite.
Staff were welcoming in this old fashioned basic place with its wooden tables, counter and bench seating that looked and felt like church pews.
Pricing was noticeably cheap
This is a small place 2 blocks from train station, I think I counted 7 tables and the take out line was out the door. We were lucky to get a seat. The hamburgers are not a greasy burger they were cooked to perfection. The...fries were crispy and also no greasy taste. Who ever makes the slaw and chili knows what they are doing.More
