My wife and I have turned into monthly regulars! The food is cooked to order and the service is great. They have a variety of offerings with free ice cream for dessert. Very friendly atmosphere for children.
We're trying to visit all the Rocky Mount restaurants we haven't yet tried, and this place was a winner. I had the beef cheesesteak sandwich and my husband had the chicken cheesesteak sandwich, and both were delicious. The fries were also good - a little...extra batter or breading on them gave them a little something extra. Our waitress was uninterested, but others seemed friendly. She asked if we wanted ice cream for dessert, and brought us each a small swirl, which was a nice finish to the meal. At the table across from ours they had chocolate syrup served on their ice cream - we weren't offered, so I don't know if there are other choices. The place was busy on a weekday at lunch, and many diners seemed to be frequent visitors. The place has a 50s diner feel, with a fish tank just as you walk in.
The sign on the door says you can pay with bitcoin - I know nothing about that, but thought it sounded interesting!More
Wandered in by accident for lunch on our way to the Outer Banks and had a wonderful lunch. 50's decor complete with tableside jukebox selector. Great burgers and sandwiches! May be the best fries ever. And the staff could not have been friendlier. So good...we stopped there again on our way home.More
Seat yourself casual restaurant. Fifties atmosphere (even Juke Boxes). Service was quick, food good. However, the person at the register needed an attitude adjustment. She carried on a personal conversation with another staff member. She never acknowledged us standing there either at our entering or...leaving. Had to get her attention to even pay the bill. Not patron oriented at all.More
My wife and I first went to Brians' last Tuesday (01/30/2018). My wife had the cheese steak and fries and I had a double patty swiss cheese and mushroom burger & fries. Both were very good.
We went back there today (02/01/2018) again for lunch....This time my wife had the corned beef reuben sandwich & chips. It was very full of corned beef and sauerkraut and was very good. I had the chicken tenders & fries. They were just okay but again the fries were great. The service was friendly and very fast. We will definitely come back again and try their country fried steak special.More
I had the pleasure of going to Brians Cheesesteak earlier today. It was self seating but as soon as my wife and I sat down we were met by the wait staff who was very nice. I was surprised at the diversity of the menu....My wife ordered the cheesesteak grinder and I had a double patty mushroom and swiss burger w/fries. Not only was the service quick but the food was very good (even the fries). The food was served very hot. If there was anything negative that I had to say about this place is that the area reserved to pay the bill is very restricting and is also used by people coming in to pick up and pay for their foods. I would highly recommend going here.More
