I did a call in order and when I arrived, my food was ready and still very hot. Staff took care of me as soon as I arrived. This place has clean restrooms, excellent cooks and great management. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal.

Food was burgers and fries but very tasty. Wait staff was very friendly and courteous. The house special burger had chili and coke slaw. This spot is about ten minutes off of 95.

Stopped for lunch, a bit off I-95 but worth the 10 minute extra drive. Great Club sandwich, huge and to die for! The " fully" dressed hot dogs are great. Didn't know the specialty was hamburgers, next time for sure. Really great lunch food at such 1950's prices. Friendly place and a local favorite. Danny and son Greg are a... More

In the area on business and wanted something other than a chain place for lunch. Checked the TA app and found this place. Owner was super friendly and recommended the hot dogs, so I ordered two with chili, slaw, and onions. They were fantastic! Reminded me of the old pool room hot dogs I grew up on. Red color and... We were looking for a place to have lunch and wanted to go where the locals eat. This would be the spot. Jeff enjoyed the daily special, a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink. He enjoyed it very much. The hamburger was freshly made and the fries were not frozen. I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich. This restaurant is a... More

This is a fantastic local family owned diner that has been around for a while. A group of 6 of us, in town with work, stopped in for lunch. The burgers and fries were fantastic as was the chicken sandwich. Service is quite friendly and prices were very reasonable. We all agreed that this was one of the best lunches... More

Inside is insanely dirty. Nice people but that's about it. Hot dogs are just OK. Nothing like I was expecting from the reviews.

This is one of those excellent hidden gems that's been around a long time. They are known for their hamburgers and hotdogs. They don't have a web site but here is excellent article about the owner and the restaurant. http://www.ourstate.com/second-street-lunch
