J Betski's has to be one of my all time favorite places to eat. The menu is ever changing based on the season, and every meal I have had was amazing. This is a small, unique one of a kind restaurant. It is often hard to get into. The food is always flavorful, and you won't be able to duplicate... More

Love the place. Particularly nice Friday evening for a drink on a porch. Good for lunch.' Enjoyed there a Christmas party in Polish style

Tucked away on a side street near Peace University, J Betski's was a find -- High quality German and Polish entrees (not just brats and kraut, although they did have those, too), outstanding appetizers, offbeat desserts (a bourbon-pecan (NOT apple) strudel), interesting cocktails and an extensive beer selection (oh, and the rye bread on the table was perfect -- dense,... Good German Beer selection, both bottled and on-tap. As we looked at the menu our waiter explained the evening specials. We all drooled at the fish dish he described (flounder) and all three of us ordered it. Wonderful! A great blend of flavor. I hope they make it a standard as I will order it again if available. Also topped... More

This was a whim to come visit based on reviews and we were NOT disappointed. We had the Schnitzel, kielbasa, pierogies and strudel. Great food and great service. We will definitely be back (maybe tomorrow). I really want to try the bratwurst!

While traveling through the American South I happened upon this place called J Betski's in Raleigh North Carolina I happen to have a complete love affair with German food so it was with great anticipation that I tried their food and drink! I'm happy to report that the food and drink was excellent....the pork schnitzel sandwich was superlative and the... More

J. Betski's always amazes me. One of the first restaurants in the area to introduce us to great European beer, warm potato salad, lingonberries, and cool cukes with a tender pork schnitzel. For the scores of times I have been to this restaurant, at least 80% of the time I get the schnitzel. This time I branched out, and I... More

My wife and I went for lunch when the menu was a little limited; more to the sandwich side. I did find a knife and fork meal: The sausage platter. Pick two of three choices of sausage. The sausages were actually quite good, I can't say I've ever had better. I was a little disappointed, however, that the platter comes... More

My wife's family emigrated from Poland. Her grandmother was known even amongst her family as the real "cook" when it came to Polish, German, and Italian favorites. She would have loved this place! The kielbasa sampler I ordered was perfect. Loved the sauerkraut and the Polish mustard provided. The cabbage and mushroom pierogies were outstanding! My wife ordered the schnitzel,... More

The food was awesome! Started off with a sausage sampler. My main course was the crispy duck confit with sausage pierogis. My boyfriend has the schnitzel with a portable lol mushroom gravy. If hungry, be direct with ordering as this restaurant is about taking your time and enjoying the flavors!
