Haven't been here in a while and decided to revisit Jose & Sons. This eatery continues to offer a delicious dining experience. We had a bowl of fresh guacamole, which was fantastic. We decided to share small plates, which was a great idea. We had flautus - the filling was tasty but I'm not sure that I liked the fried... More

Went back on this trip to Raleigh and will go back again. Can get crowed so reservations are best. Try the Spicy Clam appetizer for a real treat.

Went for lunch with a large group of about 40 and there may have been another 10-12 people there. The restaurant probably could have seated another 30 or so. They serve a blend of Mexican & Southern foods so if you are looking for a pure Mexican place, this is not it. I had the Neuske Quesadilla and my wife... More

I LOVE this place! Really interesting and DELICIOUS menu and the décor is very cool and interesting. Their spicy shrimp burrito is out of this world. Would eat there every day if I could!

Went there on a weeknight as we had heard great things about this venue. They were not very crowded and the service was OK. The food was very flavorful with good portions, but was seemed to be lacking something.... maybe a little in the spice dept. Brussel sprout app was really good. For dinner, we got the chef's picnic which... More

Came here with friends and fiancee. Awesome Eggs Benny and waffle-the chips were great too. Good service fun decor and dedicated parking for the shopping plaza. Loved it.

Everything on the menu here is so intriguing. It was really hard to choose. We split several small plates with Barbacoa and duck carnitas. Both meats were very tasty and were accompanied by some great toppings. We also got the soup, which was also delicious. A great stop in a neat location.

This restaurant is a great example of farm to fork eating. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. While a little on the heavy side for my mother, my daughters loved the gouda mac n cheese! This is a restaurant to return to.

this atmosphere is really nice and laid back. loved the décor but can't say the same for the food. Based on the menu descriptions and website photos, we were expecting our meal to taste different. The Plantain sandwich was good though. We specifically went for the roasted corn ( from seeing it on the website) and unfortunately they were out... More

Went for a work birthday. Was not busy and service was good. But what got me was the cost. You would have thought some lunch specials. Could be good to eat but has to be cost appropriate for lunch. Food took awhile but we were a large group. We munched through chips and tried the guacamole. Was a tad salty.... More

Description
We serve comfort food that celebrates our forefathers’s Mexican roots and the culinary traditions of the local neighborhood. "On the plate, “Mexican-Southern” translates to dishes such as chicharrones and waffles, and shrimp and masa “grits” with Chihuahua cheese. You can expect to see Southern staples such as okra and collard greens done in new ways, too. An emphasis on local sourcing means that even the chiles rellenos on the traditional side of the menu may not always be made with the standard poblanos." Greg Cox, N&O
