This restaurant has always been my favorite romantic French restaurant in Raleigh. We returned for a special milestone event and it was spectacular! Every detail was perfection and everything cooked to perfection with exquisite service.

My boyfriend and I have gone to Saint Jacques for the last two Valentine's Day dinners. I highly recommend the restaurant. We've had to celebrate a day late due to making reservations too late, so we had the regular menu. Everything in how they do business there is designed to give you a real (and French) experience. From their taking... More

We ate at St. Jacques for Valentines dinner tonight. The food was fabulous. It was hard to choose what we wanted but we both decided on sea food. My wife had the Foie Gras and I had the Patie for starters. Then she had shrimp and grits French style and I had the sea scallops in sour dough. We finished... More

Comfortable, incredibly friendly, gracious hosts, and my gosh, the food. Our group had duck, fish du jour, and the special, a seafood, grits dish. The food was authentic and delicious. The chef was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We are visiting family. We have informed our family that this place will be a requirement for our visits going forward.

Treat yourself to perhaps the best French Cuisine in the Triangle. I am so tired of restaurants that get by on self-aggrandizement, so to dine at one that undersells and over-delivers is a true pleasure. This meal reminded me that subtle, traditional, honest, well executed flavors are always winners- something us amateur cooks often lose sight of when preparing complex... More

As always, the space was quaint and intimate, the service was above-and-beyond and the food was fabulous. And when I told my server that I was lactose intolerant, so I would try to avoid foods with dairy (good luck in a French restaurant, right?!) and ask that the chef make substitutions when possible, she said, "No problem!" And it was... More

I had a hard time finding a place for lunch that was more than just tacos or burgers. But this wonderful French restaurant in a strip mall (!) outside of Raleigh created a lovely setting for a family lunch after a morning wedding. The staff were very helpful in designing a menu specifically for our party with choices of appetizer... More

Don't let the fact that it's located in a strip mall with a Harris Teeter and an Ace Hardware deter you. This is fine dining! And once you are in the door you won't notice the location. This is cuisine as art, poetry and theater. Service is top-notch, and there are no bad choices on the menu. Without a doubt... More

We brought our parents here last time they were in town to celebrate and Saint Jacques did not disappoint! It was an overall amazing experience - food, service, drinks, everything! Hands down some of the best escargot we have ever had and the lamb dish was incredible. Don't miss the chocolate mousse for dessert!!

I had a wonderful meal here...a foie gras mousse amuse bouche, followed by a venison pate with apple mango chutney, shrimp and scallop vol au vent, and of course, chocolate mousse. Chef presented each of his plates, which were expertly prepared. The entree protein was a little sparse, one large sea scallop and 2 medium shrimp, but with 3+ courses,... More
